what a fun day! dad stayed home to spend time with me (and give mom a break).before I begin talking about my day, I just want to bring something up that's been on my (everyone's) mind.
My Lip
Ok, so for those people that follow my diary you've seen that when I was born, a cute little strawberry mark (hemangioma) was on my bottom lip. This cute little mark opened shortly after ... YUCK! And then the problems began.
Asthetically (sp?) I looked a little off, my feeding was also messed up as it hurt to take the bottle, and the biggest impact was on my tummy as I'd swallow soooo much air that my tummy would be gassy ALL the time (which just compounded my colic).
After a slew of doctor's helped me (Dr. Bill James (Pediatrician), Dr. McConville (Pediatrician), Dr. Adam (Dermatologist), and Dr. Laughlin (Laser Surgeon)) and a lot of painful nights/days, my lip wound healed as best it could and everything seemed to be getting better. This took about 2 months. So at month 4 I finally noticed my cute little red mark getting smaller and my feeding getting better, my tummy improving, and my colic disappearing.
Fast forward to today: Even though there is still some scaring from when it was open, the mark on my lip has shrunk sooooooo much that my parents say is now barely noticeable. Even though there are some thoughtless people on this planet that say: WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR CHILD? or DID YOUR CHILD BITE THEIR LIP? (yeah, cause a 7 month old me can really bite my lip), I know deep down that my lip will eventually heal 100% and ... if this is the worst thing in life that I had/have to endure, I am truly blessed.
The reason this lip thing appeared in the first place? -Because no one is allowed to be perfect and without it, I'd be perfectly cute!
Ok, now that that is said, here is my day (and some beautiful pictures to follow!)
