Ferber 1 - Hannah 0

Even though I woke up at 4am (for 1 whole hour until mom got 'wind' of what was going on), I gave my parents a treat and slept until 7:45am. So I guess it was only 9 straight hours last night. I can do better!!! Tonight is another night.

Thank you Fisher Price (and Uncle Ian & Aunt Amanda) for the Jumperoo! I finally got the hang of it! All you do is jump :) This helps my mom as she doesn't have to hold me the entire time. Phewf! Her arms just can't handle my huge weight. Between the Jumperoo, the Baby Einstein (thank you Marlo & Chuck), and my mom's laptop (thank you Dad!!!), we (mom & I) are having a super time inside even on this crummy day!

Gymboree was interesting today. My mom learned a new lesson - Not to be honest. Arg! The topic was solid foods and which ones your child has eaten. Mom was honest and told them that pretty much anything she eats, I can eat. Some mother tried to lecture my mom on how bad that was. Arg! Then tried to convince my mom that AVOCADO's are essential in a child's diet. What?! And also she broadcasted to the entire group that solids from age 6-12 months was merely practice. Now I understand that that may be the norm, but I think my situation is different. I've been on solids now for almost 6 months. Does she care about anyone's backround? No. And the other mother's in the class felt somewhat the same way as my mom. You could tell. Maybe my mom shouldn't have mentioned that I get McDonalds sometimes? :)
Anyhow, it was fun none the less. My good friend Hannah (yes she has the same name as I) was there and she has the cutest giggle!!!

So we went to Loblaws when I woke up from my afternoon nap. There I found the most super toy ever - Secret Deoderant!!! My mom should know by now that I am not into toys but into things that I am not allowed to play with. Hence why I try to grab her keys from her ALL the time! Geeze mom, take the hint!

Then there was some Jolly Jumper time. I do this so mom can have 2 hands free while putting away the groceries & cleaning the kitchen.

(Day 7 of Ferberization)
7:45am - wake up
10:00am - nap (60min)
12:30am - Gymboree class
2:00pm - nap (60min)
3:00pm - Loblaws
7:00pm - bedtime

So speaking of Mr. Mean Man Ferber, here are the results of the first week of being Ferberized:
1. my shedule was switched around so that there are no more bottles before naps.
7am - wake/bottle
9am - nap (this will probably change to 9:30am)
11am - bottle
1:30pm - nap
3pm - bottle
7pm - bed/bottle *but I am not allowed to fall asleep on the bottle, only in my crib.
2. here were my sleep patterns for the week.
day 1:
Woke up TWICE, 11pm & 4am.
day 2:
Slept 11 hours straight.
day 3:
Slept 9 hours straight then woke from flipping on tummy :)
day 4:
Slept 11 hours straight then woke from flipping on tummy :)
day 5:
Slept 12 hours straight then mom woke me.
day 6:
Slept 9 hours straight then woke from ... ahem ...
3. Conclusion - it looks like I might be *sleeping through the night* now.
A big YIPPEE for my mom! She never knew I could do it. And I survived and am not mad at her at all. Yay for my mom!

Sorry for the lengthy post ... because I'm sure most of you reading just want to see the pictures already. So here they are.

Until tommorow,
Hannah
