MY First Post

Wow ... I can't believe I'm pregnant again! Feels like just yesterday Hannah was born.

So here is why I and my hubby seem shocked ... We just started trying for #2. Needless to say it didn't take very long.

How I found out? Here is the story:
Saturday night I was supposed to head out with my hubby, Marlo, and Mike W. I really wanted to have some drinks and just needed the piece of mind that indeed I wasn't pregnant. So I did the test ... about 5 seconds into it, I noticed the faintest second line. With my hand shaking, I yelled at my hubby that there was a line - his face went bright white! Needless to say, about 8 (yes 8) tests later, the line keeps getting darker, I am definitely pregnant. Besides, is there such a thing as "a little pregnant"?

Also, I know it is risky sharing the news (calls, emails, blogs) with friends/family at such an earlier stage. However, here are my 2 reasons for doing it:
1. It's almost like getting married when you say your vows infront of people so that they can witness what happened. Telling everyone and having them as witnesses might pressure my little bean enough to make a beautiful appearence in 9 months.
2. I know that in this day in age, should something unfortunate occur, everyone would (hopefully) be very understanding.

I'll try and update this blog daily. My updated symptoms will be on the right side. So far so good with not feeling too poorly. Yay!

When I get a moment, I'll spiff this page up.

my first halloween

Trick or Treat? ... I meant Treat Please :)

Today was busy/fun/long/super.

Last night I had a nightmare and woke at 2:30am screaming ... my incredible mom came and help me for a while and then I fell back asleep ... 1 hour later! But I did give my mom a bit of a treat and slept until 6:45am.

Then it was some super duper playtime followed by a 1.5 hour nap! Yup! 1.5 hours!

Ah Kindermusik. My second last class - phewf! I hate it. The kids are sooo weird. Here are just some examples:
Mom & Callum - This kid has a soother in his mouth 24/7. The mom also informed my mom that she was a barbarian for letting me cry myself to sleep.
Mom & Vincent - Vincent is really cute. The mom is a man. A scary one.
Mom & Megan - Megan cries ALL the time and is ragged looking.
Mom & Maya - Well, she is ok. But I didn't appreciate the mom bringing her to class when she had a fever.

After Kindermusik, Hannah G. and I went to the Hazeldean Mall for trick or treating. So this is where the craziest thing happened to me. Mom got me this cute Ladybug costume. She put it on me, took a picture, then sneaky me I took it off! Teee heee heee. Then, in my own outfit (the one I was wearing that day), people started to say nice costume. Mom was pretty insulted as it was meant to be just a nifty outfit. Anyhow, I dubbed my second costume - A Tribute to Flashdance.

So we went and got some treats ... none that I am allowed to eat though.

Naptime! Another 1.5 hour nap! Mom you better remember this.

Then my favorite friend came over - Hannah G. Her parents came to to keep my mom company.

Bedtime went well tonight.

Once again, the time change thingy sucks.

What a stupid idea?! Yes, I'm still complaining about the time change - because it sucks. And, to prove that it sucks - I got up at 5am. Ha mom! Sucks to be you.

Woke, played, napped, went to my friend Syndey's, napped, my friend Hannah came over, bathed, went to sleep.

Sorry - mom is too tired to type more. She sucks.
And for those of you that don't know, mom & dad made me a gift! Apparently, a brother or sister will be arriving next July. How cool is that? A permanent play buddy! I think this is good news ... I think.

What? Are you kidding me? For real?

I'm daddy's little heinekin :)

This is the stupidest thing i've heard - Time change? Why on earth would you make me suffer through it. Man today was long. Holy long.

Here was my day:
Woke at 6am ... hunh? it's 5am? Geeze.
Ate at 6:45am.
Napped at 7:45am ... notice a trend here? Everything is early.
Went to the grandparents house for a quick morning visit.

Fell asleep in the car on the ride home and continued sleeping in my crib for a while.
Spent the afternoon watching football (and once again watching mom lose in her fantasy football league).


Went to bed at 6pm! Yup ... 6pm. Well if I'm going to wake up at 6am, then 6pm is my new bedtime.

Some firsts for today:
-tried milk for my first time - it was ok.
-used my new snack bowl that my friend Hannah's mom (Shawna) got me - it is very cool!

Good evening! What a long and great day.

Again, slept only until 6am. I'm guessing tommorow with the time change that my 5am wake up will suck. Poor mom!

Then I went to my grandparents place to show off my ability to reach/crawl/grab. I tried raspberry sherbert today ... here is what I thought of it:




After I came home, my friend Hannah came over to play and thank god! I was cranky due to lack of friends. Although I enjoy hanging out with my parents, I like my friends to.

Sorry for the short post, I'm tired. Pooped. Exhausted. Fatigued.

Happy Time Change

Wow! Another fun day. Seriously - this being a baby thing is soooo worth while!

Woke up at 6:20am. That was a nice change for my mom. It beats the 6am wake up. Hehehehe :) Dad and I played this morning until mom got up. It was a ton of fun! Then, after mom came downstairs, fed me, had playtime, she was mean and made me nap. That's ok, I go down really fast now for my little sleeps. I love my mom! (well, this week at least)
Then when I woke up - Jeni was there! Yippee! Then I knew the day would be fun because I would have her undivided attention. I love love love attention.
We got me all dressed and then we headed off to .... Cosmic Adventures.


There we met up with mom's friend Sally and her daughter's Cora and Shayla. I had so much fun! There were so many kids ... and just as many ball pits.
I was pooped after. So, we headed home. And once again - mom put me in my crib (which is now much lower ... what the hey?!).
After my nap, mom was supposed to take me to play with Hannah G. - but she didn't. She's a little slow! Bad mom, very very bad mom. Sorry Hannah G.!!!!
Maybe, if I'm a good girl, and sleep well, mom will take me to the museum of Sciene & Technology tommorow with Hannah G. and her parents. Pretty please mom?!
So this afternoon, instead of having fun with Hannah G., I played outside with mom,
then inside with mom, then by myself. Mom just doesn't understand me anymore - just kidding! All I want to do is try to stand.
Bedtime went smoothly.

Some things I wanted to mention:
1. Ever since I was colicky/lip-feeding issues, I've been using the famous Dr. Brown's bottles. Well, yesterday and today I actually used normal bottles for 2/4 of my feedings! And I didn't melt away ... yay! I'm becoming a normal kid!!!
2. Today, I had 3.5/4 of my bottles with Enfamil formula ... and 0.5/4 with Soy. So ... looks like I'm ALMOST fully switched! Lactose intolerance? me? nope! (knock on wood)
3. I'm getting cuter by the minute!!!! (That's a fact!)
