P is for Perfection!

In a nutshell -it was perfect!
Had a blast, tried standing on everything. The really cool part is that I can let myself down slowly sso I don't fall :) Also, I can walk around furniture - So cool! Luckily I am learning fast from Hannah G.

Today my took some really incredible photos! Too many for this blog.
Check out these most amazing photos!!! (best photos of Hannah ever!)

G'night!

And a super milestone ....

Guess what I did today? I pulled myelf up on numerous toys! All the way to standing position. Then I kinda shifted my legs to maneuver around them and the furniture. How cool is that The not so cool part - I also stood in my crib for my naps ... that makes it super difficult on mom. Tee hee hee!

Also, I can put the balls in the new toy I got to make it fun! I'm such a smarty pants (and a humble little lady to)!

Today I had a playdate with Hannah G. and was able to keep up to her. It was super fun! Also, mom & Hannah G.'s dad Nick played 2 games of Madden - they each one 1. Rematch!

Later in the afternoon, my mom dragged me everywhere to do her errands. What a pain! But I did get oogled and awgled everywhere we went.

Mom was super tired tonight. She had blood drawn today and that really wiped her out - not to mention my brief wake-up last night at 3am!!!

Enjoy the lovely pictures!

Ups & Downs

I'm in my bed typing this right totally exhausted. I have no energy left. I'm spent. Why you ask? Here is the story.

Yesterday we (Hannah & I) woke up ready to conquer the world. Got dressed, got some errands done. Had amazing naps. Around 2pm I noticed that the heat wasn't working so I call the company that we have our furnace insurance with and they say they will be there in a couple of hours. Ok, so I head out with Hannah to do more errands. When I get back, the heating people still aren't there. Ok, the house is still warm I'm happy. Then at 5pm'ish, my CO (Carbon Monoxide) alarm goes off. Yikes! I went next door to ask for some help and some kind gentleman obliged. After a couple of minutes talking things out, we decided that Hannah and I should leave. I opened some windows for the cats (did I mention the furnace was not working?!) and headed off to my friend Angie's. Hannah was not amused. What 10 month old wants to be plucked out of her cozy house at her dinner hour. Not mine. In the meantime, the furnace guy arrives at my house and says indeed there is a leak and the CO ratio in the air is too high but he needs a piece of equipment to trace the leak - and of course this piece isn't available until the morning. End result - Angie and I went back to my place to pick up all the essentials the 3 of us (me, Hannah, Ced) would need to spend the night at Angie's place. Things went fine at first. Hannah went down amazingly without a peep in her playpen. The adults (including Adam) played some games and watched Monday Night Football. Then off to bed for me. Hannah woke at 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, and for good at 5am. It was hard cause normally I'd just let her cry but I didn't want to wake up Angie, Mo, and especially Adam. So I spent most of the night awake. Yuck! Angie got up early to make us all coffee - that was soooo nice of her as I had about 4 cups. Yes, I was shaking from the caffeine - desperate times call for desperate measures! After Hannah's nap we headed home - to a house of 58F (14C). I didn't care at that point.Ced bought a space heater and I dug my heals in and we stayed double dressed in the cold. And about noon our heat was fixed! So thats that.

Now onto the big news - had my 1st ultrasound today!!! And they saw a baby with a heartbeat of 169 bpm!!! Yahoo! (some say your miscarriage rate goes down significantly once you see a heartbeat)
Here are some photos of the ultrasound as well as my report.

Wow! It still hasn't hit me (and definitely hasn't hit Ced) that we are pregnant again. I was just pregnant this time last year.

Pop! Yup - my belly popped already. I'm bigger at 2 months this time than I was at 5 months last time. Wow! So this is what it's like?

G'night - I'm soooo tired!

so much to say so much to say so much to say ... DMB!

Good evening!

Well, sorry for the missing post yesterday - I couldn't help it. I'll try not to do it again.
So, here is what's been going on (aside from a whole lot of teething - my back molar has almost made it's appearance!).

Monday
Woke up at 7am - you are welcome mom!
Did the usual play/nap thing.

Went to Walmart & Starbucks.
Played and napped.
Went to Loblaws.
Played ... and went to my first sleepover at mom & dad's friends (Angie & Mo). (you'll have to check out mom's blog for more on this)

Tuesday
Woke at 2am, 3am, 4am, and finally for good at 5am - turns out I HATE my playpen.
Played and napped.
Came home and played and napped.

Went to go see (for the first time) my soon-to-be little sister or brother! (but again, you'll have to check out mom's blog for more on this)

Ate and went to bed.

What a mouthful! I hope tommorow is much less eventful and that darn tooth pierces through!

finally ...

Hannah had 7am wake-up ...
My happy/fun baby is back again (still teething but manageable) ...
I have a little bit more energy ...
My ultrasound is only a day away ...
And the biggest - I went through an entire weekend without testing! That was hard. I have an itch this am to buy another test. Big fear? Going to my ultrasound tommorow to discover I'm no longer pregnant. Not that a pregnancy test would confirm I'd see a heartbeat. I just need to see 2 lines for reassurance.

Well Hannah was sick for a couple days last week. When we went to the docs on Friday (We meaning Hannah, I, and my hubby ... he took the day off to play with the new toy he got - PS3) the he said she was perfect and not to worry. That the worst was over. Phewf! It was a long week.

Right now as I type this Hannah is amusing herself (she used to do this so well) and having a blast! I'm sooo happy to have her back. I don't like the rug being pulled out from under me.

Saturday nigth I went to play poker at a friends place and the worst happened - I got the text message from my babysitter saying Hannah woke. Well this was no suprise considering she woke Friday night numerous times. I came home. When I walked through the door I expected Hannah and the babysitter to be playing in the living room ... Only they weren't! My babysitter was just shutting the door to Hannah's room and Hannah was back aleep! Holy cow! At the best of times I can't do that. I was just about to head back to poker when Hannah let out a cry and then silent until 5:30am. It was always something I was scared of but now I realize it isn't the end of the world and people are very understanding. Maybe I would have won? Who knows ... at least I didn't lose!

I soooo could have used a drink this weekend.

I belong to this chat group and have been a part of it for about 2 years now. It is a pregnancy/trying chat group. Someone brought up the topic VBAC's (Vaginal Birth After C-Section) this past weekend and someone really expressed their opinion. They said things like C-sections do not let you bond as easily, that you miss out on a needed experience, that your maternal instinct doesn't kick in as fast, that you cost everyone more money ... and it went on. I was so fuming mad! People have the right to their opinions just don't try and pressure your beliefs on someone else. Luckily in this lifetime we get to make our own choices. I'm very thankful for that. When I gave birth it was magical! Unbelieveable! Extraordinary! C-section and all! (here are the videos of the first couple of minutes of Hannah's life)

Well off to put down #1 for a nap so I can feed #2 :)

Have a great week!

I really am the MOST BEAUTIFUL Hannah B. EVER!

Good evening!
What a super day (until about 4pm when I totally lost my cool and my bad teething pains kicked in). Even though I woke up at 5:30am ... I gave mom a suprise - when she came to get me I was ... STANDING in my crib holding the bars :)
Was she ever suprised! I've only ever pulled myself up twice before and that was on my piano and play container. This was shocking! So mom didn't really care that it was 5:30am. Maybe that's the trick? I can get up earlier if I do something cool & new.

Today I hung out with mom & dad. I was all giggles, fun, explorative, and totally the coolest kid ever! We watched NFL games (and mom lose again at her fantasy games). Go Peyton Go! (that was for you mom!)

I stood up today trying to climb up the stairs. Everything is happening so fast. Soon I'll be driving my own car.

So mom took so many amazing pictures that she put them in an album for today. Check it out:
(by the way - the photo of feet is of mine and my dad's ... I have some catching up to do)

Good night and yay for Monday!
Love Happy Hannah

My Twin ... Yes that's right!

What a miserable day! And a miserable last night. Here are the details:
(starting Friday night)
7pm - bedtime
8:30pm - woke (need to be picked up and rocked to sleep)
10:00pm - totally freaked out and mom & dad had to take me out of my room
11:15pm - back to sleep (not without a fight)
5:00am - cry for 1 hour
6:00am - start day
Act like monster entire day (with the exclusion of 2 one hour naps and brief moments of fun).

I've completely tired out my mom. Sorry!

She thinks I'm teething ... I just might be.

Hope tommorow is better! What a week!

Love Hannah

72 hours in 2 minutes

It's so hard to watch someone you love in so much pain. My poor Hannah had a 103.5F fever for 3 days in a row and then today a rash appeared. I couldn't do much to help her but try and keep her comfortable. She actually was a huge trooper and was a super behaved little lady the entire time. When the doctor checked her ears today not even a cry! That's a first. Today was much better although it appears she's teething once again. Some relief puhlease?

On the pregnancy side, as my first ultrasound nears (tues @3pm) ... (tues @3pm) ... (tues @3pm) I'm trying really hard not to obsess about it. But hey - it's f-in hard! Still no symptoms. None. Sooo unnerving! (i've probably spelt that wrong hundreds of times)

I see pregnant women everywhere! I feel like I'm a pregnant stalker. Their bellies all look so nice - in the am I'm looking 7 weeks pregnant, in the pm I'm looking 5 months pregnant. I guess I won't really believe I'm pregnant until Tuesday. It's so hard, I think of all the things I want/need to do but can't bring myself to do them until I hear the gallopping horse (the heartbeat).

I'm also pretty lucky cause I have a girlfriend who works in a "women's health clinic" and can give me ultrasounds at will. How cool!

I feel like this week has been a worldwind. I can't wait for things to get back to normal. I was just feeling comfortable in the routine. But I guess nothing stays the same with babies/toddlers.

Hopefully I get some sleep tonight as I have plans to play poker tommorow night at a friend's place. No sleep = cranky moi.

AJ - where are you? No pm or msn?

Sharon
p.s. Sorry for the crappy post - I'm sooooooooo tired right now! 3 long days!!!

Happy 10 month Birthday to me!

Whoa! Can you believe it? 10-months old! Seems like it's been a lifetime. Well, it's been a long week. Turns out, when you get a high fever (103.5F) for 3 days, followed by a rash, you are supposed to know that is Roseola. The silver lining is that once you get Roseola, you become immune to it. So I'm checking this bad boy off my list of "going to have's". I survived it. And you know what? For the most part, I was in pretty good spirits and slept the night for the most part. Just a tad whiny at times.

Today was like a 100% turnaround. Once the rash came (which is minor) I was super happy and playful ... Until about 5pm - then you'll never guess ....

I'm teething AGAIN!!!

My last molar will be making it's appearance very soon.

A new skill to note: I can take something and put it back. How cool is that? Next step - toilet training! Just kidding!

Hope you're getting tons of attention and gifts Hannah G.! I miss you ... again! (and I hope you are feeling better! Stupid hand - what is it good for? :) )

Love Hannah

Another day ...

And another fever. Crap. Thank god for Tylenol!

Even though I was sick, I still managed to make the best of the day. Dad came home this afternoon to hang out! How cool is that? Also, Hannah G. came over and we had a nice playdate - even though I was full of crank. Sorry Hannah G.!

So mom didn't get any pics of me - how rude. But she did manage to grab a photo of Hannah G. standing on her own! How cool is that?! Way to go Hannah G.!

(yes, that's me all jealous cause I can't do that!)

Wish me luck that I feel better tommorow!

Wow! So incredible!

I feel like the luckiest person in the world right now.

Tonight I went to see Borat with my hubby and some friends of ours. I felt like a human again!
And Hannah (even with her fever) didn't make a peep! Phewf! My babysitter was pretty happy about that.

Did I mention it felt awesome? I haven't seen a movie with my hubby since I was pregnant with Hannah.

Knock on wood Hannah sleeps through the night and feels awesome in the am!

Just wanted to share,
Sharon
p.s. Seems like my RLS is back - that is sooo a pregnancy thing.

And the magic number is ....

103.5 ... what is this you ask?

So I woke up this am with no temperature. Despite my night waking last night (10pm to 11pm - I deem this playtime), I did pretty good. I only got 7 hours of sleep but I was a super champ today.

No temperature in the am meant I could finally visit my friend Hannah G. who is back from her travels to Florida! She looks incredible and I think she's grown again. While I was at her place, I was exhauted - my 20 min. morning nap just didn't cut it! I actually napped in Hannah G.'s crib. It's quite bigger than mine. I felt like having a party!

Hannah G. (and parents) Thank you SOOO much for the coolest shirt ever! I am so touched that you'd think of me while away. Thank you!!!

Then after a while, I started to get a little sleepy so mom took me home. Sure enough - 2 hours later, I was running 103.5F fever again. Yuck! In when the Tylenol and the TLC from mom. I was in a pretty good mood considering.

And the best part about today ... not to jinx anything ... but I'm still sleeping! Just maybe I'll sleep through the night tonight just for mom. She's pretty pooped!

Enjoy these super photos (and check out my teeth!):
