pee eat, pee sleep, pee watch hannah, pee play with hannah, pee ... GET THE HINT?

Like my ticker? :)

New list of symptoms:
Frequent urination - holy cow!
Lower back pain - unbelieveable.
Exhausted - who wouldn't be with a 9 month old at home?!
Constant stuffy nose - nasal whine here :(
BUT ... no nausea today. A big PHEWF!!! Must have just been nerves/fatigue from yesterday.

So, about today. It was a roller coaster. Had my first OB appt. Last pregnancy I didn't see the doctor until I was 8 weeks pregnant and then it was only for a uterus check and some blood work. This time, instead of seeing a family doc at 8 weeks, I got to see my OB (who is the most incredible OB in the entire world) at 6 weeks. It was SUPER exciting to go back. Everyone remembered me. Yeah - since it was only 9 months ago that I had seen them. They all greeted me with huge smiles and warm embraces. So I sat in the room and got the low down on forms to fill out. Weird - check off the section with "previous pregnancies". That felt cool.
Anyhow, so as per the usual routine here is how it went:
-arrived showed health card
-got blood pressure taken (normal)
-took weight measurement (still heavy!)
-did the protein sugar pee analysis (normal)
-sat back in the waiting room
-got called into the office
-changed to a room
-The super doc arrived. We chit chatted for a bit. He remembered that the Colts are my favorite team. How cool is that that I made a lasting impression? So then we discussed things. He asked if I wanted a VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section). We both laughed in unison right after he asked. My answer is as he expected, a definitive No. Then we talked about which no no's I'm doing ... which are none (no smoking, drinking, drugs ...). Then it was all about the bargaining.
Sharon - can I please have an ultrasound at 8 weeks (I know the heartbeat would be detectable then and once a heartbeat is found, your miscarriage rate drops to 5% - supposedly.)
Dr. F - well, I'd like to do an internal now to make sure you are measuring 6 weeks
Sharon - So ... I agree to this ... I can have the ultrasound?
Dr. F - yes.

Uterus is approximately 6 weeks in size - Yay!
Yay!! November 28th is the day. My first ultrasound.
But I do have to get some blood work done in the mean time. I have requested no betas. I don't want to see more numbers that might worry me. So it is a countdown until the ultrasound. One day at a time until then.

I'm very emotionally spent. My hubby even said to me today it didn't feel real. I have to agree. Even though I'm obsessing again, this seems all too good too be true.

Good night,
Sharon
