what a night

Arg. Arg. Arg.
My lovely Hannah woke almost every hour last night with a cry. I assumed they were bad dreams and just let her be. Then around 2am she woke pretty upset. I went to get her. After she was done with the cry, she had some pretty big smiles . Arg. But she seemed a little stuffed up so in went the Dimetap. And asleep she went shortly after. That pretty much messes up my shedule as I had to give the meds in a bottle with milk cause she likes to puke/gag if she gets the syringe of meds. She's still sleeping right now despite my attempts at kindly waking her to get her back on shedule.

Then I wake up to read on the CNN Ticker "Breast-fed kids have better verbal skills than formula fed kids, but that may be because breast-fed mothers have better verbal skills". WTF?! If there is one thing I'm sure of, is that I & Hannah have super verbal skills. Big boo to CNN.

So my cold is finally getting better. I'm almost 100%. But I think Hannah may be waking up with one this am. I'm crossing my fingers that she is ok.

Still no pregnancy symtpoms. And I think my nighttime swollen fingers can be attributed to the Burger King meals I've been having that are douced with salt. I am feeling tired but if you had a 9 month old, you'd be tired to. I am sure last pregnancy I felt something by now. It's kinda of weird. In the back of my mind I expect the doctor next Monday to tell me that I'm not pregnant and that it's in my head. I'm doubting I'll even get a bloodtest or ultrasound. Which is ok because most people would be assured after they took 20+ tests. How people are reassured by 2 lines on a stick of paper is beyond me. Imagine someone borrowed 1000$ dollars and wrote an I-owe-you on the stick of paper, would you be reassured that they'd pay you?! Score 1 for Sharon and 0 for the Home Pregnancy Tests.

Yesterday was pretty long. I saw a couple of moms with kids really close together and their kids were fighting. Not just yelling but pulling out hair. What a sight! Ah, in 2 years U'm sure that will be me with my kids tantruming in Loblaws.

On a yucky note - I had to call the police yesterday. There were some sketchy looking kids who parked infront of my house and went to the underpass I think to smoke dope.
... had they not been sinfully ugly OR
... had they not been so skeezy OR
... had they not made a rucus OR
... had they not parked infront of my house OR
... had their not been cops there already this weekend OR
... had they not gotten back in their car and driven
I might not have called the police. But the little 9 month old staring up at me and the little 5 week old in my belly told me to. 2 against 1 already :)

Have a super wednesday!

Sharon
