Happy New Year! (p.s. I stood all by myself today)

Happy New Year everyone!

What a terrific day! I stood on my own unassisted for the first time today for about 5-10 seconds. My parents were shocked! I was walking around the table then poof - they noticed I was there no-hands ... I'm awesome!

I played with mom and dad today and tonight I went to their friend's Angie and Mo's. We had super food, super fun, and a super good time. I was totally well behaved. Took a nap around 9:30pm for 30 minutes then woke and played until 11:30pm when mom ruined my fun and took me home. Regardless, I still had a blast.

I know 2007 will be great!
-I turn 1 years old ...
-My big brother/sister will arrive ...
-I'll be walking (and have some many more firsts) ...
-And everything else!!!

G'night!

Could it be?

Movement. I think I felt it today. Some nice punches and/or kicks.
Very cool! Much earlier than last time.

Pooped again!
Sharon
p.s. Mel, I have to start working out again - you were right.

Toys, Toys, Toys, and more Toys.

Yup!Went to Hannah G.'s new place today . It was really nice! But the best part - the plethera of toys!

Infact, after their place we went to Sears to get this toy but unfortunately it wasn't there anymore. Keep up parents!

G'night!

Busy Day ...

Started off awesome! I woke last night around 2am - stupid teething but fell back to sleep shortly after. Then I slept in until 7:30am!!! Yahoo for mom (who's turn it was to get up).

Had tons of playtime (alone - hmff) while mom practiced her Tiger Woods Golf 2007. Stupid video games.

Then after lunch/short nap. Mom & Dad tried to take me sledding. I was over tired at this point and didn't appreciate dad's efforts to make it fun. Thank you Grosskleg's for the SOOOOO COOL sled!!!

So, my parents decided to take me to Bayshore shopping. They only bought coffees. Yuck.
But they ran into a few people they knew and stayed for a while. I got so bored I just fell asleep :)

At night, we met Grandpa for some Lonestar (nope), Baton Rouge (nope), Ox Head (yup) - only place in Kanata without an hour wait.

Got home after 7pm and didn't go to bed until 8pm - I'm a trooper!

G'night,
Hannah

IPS Testing Part One

A big day ... Had my IPS part one testing today which comes with an ultrasound, a blood test, and an OB visit.

I'm happy to report everything looked great! Only one issue - I lost 7 pounds due to the flu I had and my lack of hunger. Doc said to eat many mini meals now. I think I can manage that.

So to give some information about the ultrasound. They were checking the nuchal translucency (NT). Ideally it should be under 3mm and mine was!! So now I have to wait for the blood test results I took today and the blood tests I'll be doing Jan. 17th 2007.

The little bean showed me their arms, legs, face, and bum :). They were really going wild in there.

So here are the photos. The object near the nose is their hand. They were sucking their thumb/hand the entire time. SOOOO cute!

Sharon
p.s. for those that can't read ultrasounds, the beans head is on the left and their body on the right.

Lucky Number 13!

Yes, I got my 13th tooth in today. A canine tooth on the top left of my mouth. That explains ALL my crankiness lately, running nose, drooling, and biting. I guess a full set of teeth by 1 years old might not be so crazy after all?!

I spent this morning with dad. Basically I helped him tidy up and clean so when mom got back from her appointment she'd be really happy - and she TOTALLY was!!

In the afternoon I went to Hannah G.'s place. HOLY TOYS!! I couldn't believe my eyes! She is a very lucky girl :) We had a lot of fun - especially in the tent - so cool!

After Hannah G.'s, it was home for some fun with mom & dad. I love them sooooo much!

G'night!

the day at home

Today I spent at home recuperating after my weekend travels. My parents played with me all day then Hannah G. came over and we had a blast while my parents played their stupid game.

That's all.

Nighty night,
Hannah

two, deux, dos, ... welcome to the 2nd trimester.

I made it. Seems like quite an accomplishment. But really, it isn't my doing. My bean made it through the "shaky" first trimester. Ok, time to stop the worrying now. Ha! That was a joke. I still worry incesently about Hannah and she is VERY much past the 2nd trimester.

My face broke out in zits just in time to see all of Ced's family the past few days. Nice.

I have an ultrasound tommorow so I'll have more to report then.

I also have a weigh in ... yuck! Do they know it's the holiday season and no one should get weighed now?!

My new years resolution is "Lessen my caffeine addiction". I thought I'd be able to control it but no such luck. When your daughter goes to bed at 9pm, wakes at 1am-3:30am then at 6:30am for good, you are pretty much willing to even use an IV for some energy then. How these moms do it is beyond me.

-went to dad's grandma's for some lunch (noon)

-napped in mommies arms (3:00pm ish)
-went to dad's mom's family dinner (5:00pm)
-left for home (Ottawa) at about 6pm.

Ste-Marie de Beauce ... know where that is?

Yeah, I didn't think so. That's where I was. I was celebrating the holidays with dad's family.
I got presents, hugs, smiles, and lots of playtime. One thing I didn't get though was sleep! I guess I'm a homebody! Big time! I love love love my crib. Well, kinda like a love -hate thing. I love it when I'm away, but hate it when I'm in it. Something like that.

So my day started off bright and early at 6:30am. Playtime! Even though my parents were somewhat groggy. Then we had breakfast at the motel's restaurant. Then it was off for the day. First we visited my dad's uncle Normand and aunt Dani. Beautiful house.

Then we headed for dad's uncle Marc and aunt Nancy's cottage. There we opened presents, had dinner, and lots of fun.

After that, we went to dad's grandma's house for more food & playtime. Oddly enough, at 10pm I'm not interested in playing. 11:30pm my head finally touched my blankies in my playpen at the motel.

What a fun but long day.

G'night,
Hannah

No sleep? No problem. Darn Playpen.

So yesterday I spent the day in the car. It was not my decision. My parents wanted to leave for Quebec City (to visit dad's family for x-mas) early in the day instead of night time to beat the freezing rain. So, we spent the day in the car.
Yuck.
Thank god for Elmo. And Toopy. And Binoo. But still it was crummy. Mom drove pretty safely but no one wants to sit for that long when they can crawl.

Playpen - Play & Pen. Notice the word Sleep is missing?! I hate hate hate Playpen's. When I went on the cruise I couldn't stand up in it. Now I can. Sucks for mom & dad. At 1am I was ready to play! These are photos my parents took:

To bed at 8pm, up from 1-3am, awake for breakfast 7am, and finally I'm napping again. Phewf.

yet another first

Today I played Hide & Seek with Hannah G.! It was soooo cool for mom & dad & Shawna & Nick to watch as we both scurried around and giggled a ton. How cool!

Got the last bit of shopping done (as you can see it tired me out) and then spent the day wrapping presents until my fun playdate came over.
