Gravol - who knew?

Good evening!

Well, it's Saturday night and I'm still recovering. No, not from drinking. I caught this nasty bug/virus. It started Thursday morning. I wasn't feeling too well. A little nausious and depressed. Like nothing I did was good enough and that I couldn't please anyone (yeah - I feel that way on a good day!). About 4pm I asked Ced to come home. He obliged shortly after. When Hannah went to bed, it all started. (warning .... grossness ahead)

So "what goes in must come out" ... yeah, lots of bathroom time. About 5am I finally thought I was done the whole exit process, but I guess not. I still couldn't even keep sips of water down. What a nightmare. In the morning I went to the clinic and took Hannah to just to make sure she was ok. The doc warned me that I had to watch out for dehydration ... I guess I didn't watch enough? Because I got dehydrated and had to go to the hospital for some I.V. juice. Oh yeah - and they threw in some gravol for free. Who knew you could take gravol while pregnant? Not me.

Luckily I have AMAZING friends who took Hannah for the afternoon while I was at the hospital. Ced had a meeting extraordinaire and he was my go-to guy to make sure she/everything was ok. This was the first time I ever left Hannah alone with any non-family member for this amount of time (awake).

All in all I'm recovering still. So sorry to everyone that I haven't replied to any emails/messages (Mel & Jeni especially!)

The good news - I heard my beans heartbeat on the doppler this morning and I can't believe how reassuring the thumping was. It's a tough little bean. Very tough.

I'm off to get some sleep - not sure if Hannah will get this bug. I am crossing my fingers she doesn't!

Sharon
