Energizer Bunny - that's me!

On Saturday we ventured out to try a new play place. Active Play Center in Stittsville. Yahoo! It was fantastic! Well, ok, super for us adults and actually pretty fun for the kids. We met up with Shawna, Hannah, and Chico (a.k.a. Nick) there and we all had fun & snacks (no diet Pepsi - boo). I did get my ass whooped at yet another circus like sport. Go figure.

Then it was off to home to do:
1. clean house
2. get platters
3. get cakes
4. get ice
5. get groceries
6. cook potatoe dish
7. set up
8. watch/entertain two kids!!!

Around 6:30pm we put two kids to bed and started welcoming guests. Ced's birthday party is always a packed house! Guests were Paul, Sang, Mel, Chuck, Marlo, Mike, Miriam, Shawna, Nick, Ken, Nataly, Mo, Angie, Dawn, and Marty. That makes 17 people total to feed! Lots of steak, hamburger, and hot dogs. Oh yeah - and 5 bottles (+1 jug!!!) of Gin were given. That's the last time I write - No Gin Bottles Please in an email. After we all ate my fantastically bbq'ed meats and at my super potatoe dish, we played some poker. Meanwhile the folks had been playing Rockband since they arrived!! Oh that drumming will remain in my head for ages. Two quick tables and the poker was all over in 2 hours. Mike took all our money - good for him! I couldn't river him out. Oh well. Around 1am all the guests had gone and I was fast asleep by 1:01am!

... what happens when you put a child to bed at 6:30pm? They wake at 6am. Pissed. Rattling the bars on their cage. Fun. This morning we headed to Ced's parents for a Mother's Day breakfast and a quick jaunt to the park nearbye.

Then it was home for some downtime. Ok, so after 2 hours of downtime, Ian, Amanda and Ellard came over to play. Then around 5pm it was off to HongChow for dinner. Avi came to! Avi and Hannah were so cute together. Ok, check this out, Jake ate about 10 fries, 1 chicken ball, 1 spring roll, and 1 small chocolate eclair. Unbelieveable! (mind you for breakfast he had 2 eggs, and 1.5 peices of toast!). Ellard was chatting it up the entire time! He's quite the talker now - not to mention almost walking on his own! Crazy!

Avi came back to help put the kids to bed and to play some Rockband. Now I'm pooped!

Cheers!
Sharon
p.s. How cute is this?!
