how popular are we?!

Ah - falling behind again. I guess that's what the summer brings. Even with the hustle and bustle, the kids are growing up so fast. Changes almost everyday.

I've notice lately that ...
Hannah is talking a lot more. Although I don't always like what she has to say, I'm proud/impressed that she vocalizes her needs and wants rather than wimpers. She's also much better with strangers. She even smiled/said hi to the valet last night!
Jakey has much more personality. He is starting to verbalize what he wants (with pointing and babbling). Also, he now drinks his formula (soon to be exclusively milk) from the same sippy cups that Hannah uses!!! Except a different colour :)
Me, I'm learning to roll with the punches. Not so anal about having the playrooms clean when I go to sleep, and having my day prepared for tomorrow. I'm just going with the flow and stressing much less!

What's been shaking ...
Wednesday - went to a park in Kanata near the Farmboy with Brenda and her boys, and Jen and Sydney. In the afternoon Jen and Sydney came over and we played with Hannah's new dollhouse. And at night I went to Graffiti's for Ladies Night for my Kanata Playgroup. I had a great time chatting with ladies (I might not chat with voluntarily :)).

Thursday - I dropped Hannah off first thing in the morning to daycare and ... finally she didn't cry when we went in!!! I guess with the staff changes Hannah hasn't been impressed. With Leesa & Marissa still there Hannah is okay again. She couldn't wait to go play - didn't even have time for a kiss goodbye. Mwah. Then it was off to the doctors to check Jake's ear. Good news - no infection - bad news - still fluid. Then off to get errands done (movie store, dollar store, walmart). Finally home for naps. Then around 3pm we picked up Hannah (she had a super day) and went to Jen & Sydney's. At 5pm we headed to meet my dad, bro Ian, sis 'n law Amanda, my nephew Ellard, and my bro Avi at Giovanni's for dinner. Both kids again were fantastic - trick is - I brought Swiss Chalet for them to eat - why kids don't like Antipasta is beyond me?!

Friday (today - wow) - Got up and picked up Brenda and her boys and headed off to the Museum of Science and Technology for some fun! We met Jen and Sydney, Harriet and Ella, Julie and Patrick and Charlie all there. All the kids had a blast! It is super cute to see them all toghether getting along and chasing each other and playing together. After the kids got home, the lovely steam cleaners came so we headed off to Jen and Sydney's to chill so that the carpets could get rid of their filth! And eventually we made it home and kids in bed.

Tomorrow is Ced's big party!!! Wish me luck!

Cheers,
Sharon
