What's been shaking? This & That!

Wednesday
AM: Playdate at Walter Baker Park with Lesya and her daughter
s Sophia and Naomi, and Jen and Sydney. Followed by lunch at Swiss Chalet with Jen & Sydney.
PM: Visit to my parents with the kids. Then dinner with Ian, Ellard, Shawna, and Hannah at Lonestar.
Notes: Jakey learned how to use a straw and at that, can actually drink out of a juice box without much mess!




Thursday
AM: Dropped Hannah off at Daycare. Went home and cleaned, then to the Grocery store, then to get propane. And finally out for lunch with Marlo at Phu Yen - Yummy!.
PM: Went to an appointment at the bank. Then Ian, Amanda, Ellard, Curt, Alison, and Sadie came over for a bbq.
Notes: Sadie is the cutest little girl ever!!!




Friday
AM: Headed to the Active Play Center to meet up with Brenda, Judah, Keith, Julie, Pattie, Charlie, Jen, and Sydney. Afterwards, met Ian, Amanda, and my dad for lunch at East Sides.
PM: Picked up Lukas and while he played with H&J, got some stuff done around the house. Then it was off to the Grocery store, Beer store, and DQ. Then Ken, Nataly, Mo, Angie, and Mike came over for poker night!
Notes: Turns out Hannah and Jakey can sleep through anything - including the clanging of glasses!!


Saturday
AM: Headed to Ced's parents for breakfast (yummy crepes) and a visit to the Children's Museum.
PM: Left the Children's Museum around 3pm and headed back to Ced's parents for a bit. Then it was off to Shawna's for some super yummy Indian food.
Notes: The food at the Children's Museum sucks!




Sunday
AM: Met Shawna, Hannah, and Nick at their place then headed to a fair nearby.
PM: Headed to Angie & Mo's for a swim and a very yummy dinner.
Notes: Hannah's (both B&G) rode ponies for the first time!!!




Good News:
Jakey will be having his tubes put in July 9th!!!
Hannah got a glowing report card at Daycare - they love her and she showed much improvement since December!!!
Hannah will be starting Pre School this Thursday!!!
Jakey has a couple more teeth - not sure how many but his mouth is very toothful - too scared to check!!!

Balls of Fury - is awesome!

Wow! 2 days went by and so much happened!

1. Jakey can now position himself at the top of the stairs and reverse down them - he's great at it - but still going down the stairs, he likes to pause, look around, then forgets he's on stairs and Kabloom!

2. Hannah started asserting herself. For a kid that doesn't like talking much, she sure makes it count ... when I stole her jammies she yelled 'give that back now'. Ha!

3. Jakey is standing on his own a lot more - for a couple seconds at a time - very cool!

Monday
AM: Motorin Munchkins at JCC followed by MacDonalds with Sydney and Jen.
PM: Errands at Centrum followed by fun at Brenda's place with her, her boys, and Sydney and Jen stopped by to.



Tuesday
AM: Playgroup potluck backyard event
PM: Errands at Centrum

Park & Play - then repeat.

Good evening! Thought I'd do a bit of blogging before my lucky husband comes home from his weekend away in Montreal - yes - a very lucky guy. Although he was away, and I planned a very quiet weekend in, my kids would have none of that! Now Hannah has started making requests on what she'd 'like' to do during the day - which is usually what we end up doing - darn cute smiles!

Saturday
8:00am - hug and kiss Ced goodbye as he leaves for Montreal
8:15am - hit the road the 3 of us
8:35am - stop by Shawna's quickly to drop something off
8:45am - arrive at Mme. & M. Begin's for breakfast & park play
2:00pm - leave and head home
(bath/pack/dress)
3:30pm - hit the road for the Grosskleg's Housewarming Party
8:30pm - leave and head home for the night



Sunday
9:00am - hit the road and head to Amanda & Ian's for breakfast
11:00am - leave and head to Brewer Park to meet up with the Grosskleg's and MacKinnon's - Ottawa Autism Community Annual Family Picnic.
3:00pm - head home
5:00pm - head out to Lonestar to eat with my 2 favorite dinner dates - Ms. Hannah and Mr. Jakey
6:30pm - do my groceries with my 2 lovely dates
7:30pm - head home for the day





In my bed, cozy now, need sleep, what a day!

ups & downs make the days go by quickly!

So it's been, yet, another busy week. Things have gone wrong, right, and just plain wonky!

Here is the low down ...

Wednesday AM: Superstore with Jen & Sydney
PM: Playdate at my house with Jen & Sydney
Notes: Made a fantastic dinner using the Pampered Chef pan Amanda got me. Jakey once again slept in the shopping cart. Got to me the new Alexander Martin - boy is he cute!

Thursday
AM: Dropped Hannah off at Daycare. Took Jakey to the doctors - he is now on daily antibiotics - yuck. He has 5 teeth almost through - yousers - poor Jakey! Met Shawna for lunch on Sparks Street at the rib festival! Yummy!!!!
PM: Stopped by Ced's work to give him some ribs and a quick visit with Jakey & I. Picked up Hannah and headed to DQ for some 'ha skeem'.
Notes: Jakey has now proven to me that he is spoon worthy and can start trying to use the spoon - he was great at it with the ice cream but not so great with the applesauce - go figure! Met Kelly & Riley at the Royal Oak at night for some Surf & Turf - total fun!!!




Friday
AM: Met up with Kelly and her kids Carson & Lauren at the Active Play Center in Stittsville. Then headed to McDonalds for lunch.
PM: Hung out at home.
Notes: Holy moly - Jake is majorly teething!!! When will it end? Soon - I think/hope.
