Friday
Met the gals (Harriet, Julie, Brenda, Jen) at Brewer Park for some play & picnic. Grandma Barb stopped by to to see the kids in action! All the kids and adults had a great time. The weather was perfect and the food terrific! Hannah was torn between Patrick and Keith all day - but ended up on the monkey bars with Ella - smart choice Hannah :).
Late in the afternoon we went to Walmart to pick up some Princess movies for the little princess! Hannah just loves them. I can only rent them so much. Then it was home for bath/bed.
Jake woke at 1am. That sucked. Considering I was out 'til 1am the night before have Indian Food (with Shawna) and watching the Sex and the City Movie (with Shawna & Marissa) I was freakin exhausted.
Saturday
Urg - my patience was sooooo tested! Jake was irritable ALL day long! It sounded like one LONG whine!!! In the morning we headed to Centrum in the rain to pick up some new tropical fish for Hannah's tank - it's now a tropical one! Adam who workds there (Al's Aquarium) is the guy who cleans Hannah's tank so he was able to outfit us with the perfect starters. Next step - buy some 'Nemo's' - fish that look like Nemo. Then we went puddle jumping all through Centrum parking lots with a quick stop for breakfast/brunch. When it stopped raining in the afternoon, I took the kids to the park to let Ced sleep - lucky guy eh? Then it was home to get ready for dinner. Jake was soooo irritable at this point, not to mention the insanely high fever, that I gave him Tylenol & Advil. What did that do? Perk him up. So, I left for dinner and left Ashley with energetic Jake and storm-scared Hannah. Moxies was terrific! Their steak incredible. Came home after dinner to see what the terrible twosome were up to. Quickly put them to bed and Kelly came over to babysit them the rest of the night. Headed over to Angie & Mo's for Monopoly! Yihaa.
Sunday
Woke up bright and early and took Jake to see the on-call doc. I thought there was an ear infection onsetting but turns out it's more likely his teeth - 4 coming in on the top. Regardless, this doctor had to be the worst I've ever seen. I'll never go back to this paed again. Then
we came home and picked up Hannah and Ced and we all headed to my brother Ian's for lunch. After lunch we went to the Gloucester Fair. My stomach is still turning! I took Hannah on her first ride - the spinning dragons. Even writing this I feel like puking! She loved it, I hated every moment of it. I told her we had no money left to go on more rides after that. Nice eh?! At the petting zoo part, some lama ate all the food we bought to feed it right out of the feeding cone from Hannah's hand - you should have seen the look on her face - it was soooo sad! Some cotton candy, candy apples, and loli pops and we were off to home. While everyone enjoyed their too-long nap, I cleaned. Bleach! Then it was the usual, dinner, bed, some cuddles in between. Finally Jake slept through last night - finally. Phewf. I was going to lose it if he woke.
Shtuffff ...
1. Hannah is officially into Princess' and Barbie and Mermaids. I love it! Bye bye Dora and hello Princess'. I also loved the movie the Little Mermaid which she loves watching - much better. Less Treehouse/PBS and more YTV. I hope Jakey likes princess' to?!
2. I've retired Hannah's booster seat to the basement. She never uses it and prefers the regular chairs. The booster will be in the basement for when Jake is ready.
3. Jakey can climb up stairs like a pro!
4. Hannah is now in pul-ups 100% of the time - no more cruisers. She totally favors the mermaid pull-ups! Very cute!
