Saturday
AM: Went to the CHEO Teddy Bear Picnic! So much fun! Tons of kids, lots of teddy bears, and the ambiance was so positive! Just being there made me feel pretty good. We met up with the Grosskleg's there which was awesome because my Hannah seems to get a little more courage when Hannah G. is around. She's also in love with Shawna-Hannah (can't figure out if that is one or two people).
PM: Headed off to Centrum for some fun errands while Ced worked. Around 6pm I left to go play Bingo (friends bingo hall) with some friends - sooo much fun! Although I didn't win, I had fun dabbin!
Sunday
AM: Ian, Amanda, and Ellard came over for breakfast.
PM: While Ced golfed/Bluesfested I .... (wait for the mouthful) ... went to Toys-R-Us, Ikea, Shawa's place for a swim, eats, fun, play, and then the drive-in!!! The drive-in was fun - but unfortunately Jakey wasn't into sleeping. I did get to see Hancock but then I was tired, cranky, and ready to go home. But I would sooo do it again!
Monday
AM: Chilled at home - both kids totally played nicely and I got soooo much done around the house & car.
PM: A quick jaunt to IKEA to get a broken part and then back home.
... So I put together Jakey's bed - and was just going to put it in his room - but - he fell asleep before he even made it to his room tonight so I placed him in his bed. Who knows, it's worth a shot. I've gotten greedy. It probably won't work but I'm game to try it. It's 10pm now and he's still sleeping soundly. At least this will tell me if he gets up at night at all or just sleeps right through until morning.
It was a nice day today - I rarely spend a day alone with just the kids. I think they loved playing with each other and they have all these new little 'games' they play. Almost like they talk their own language. They were pretty pooped from the drive-in but handled the day ok. Jakey did take a 2 hour nap - that was sweet. As long as Hannah had her Purple princess dress on she was smiling. She's in love with this new movie - Barbie Nutcracker - even I can admit it's cute.
Cheers,
Sharon
