cheers to only once per year

Seriously, thank got this hooplah only happens once per year. I actually miss normality! I love having Ced off but I miss my daily shtuff.

It's (the holidays) are going by super fast! I can't keep up. From last Tuesday until now nothing has stopped. I almost feel like a sinking ship!!! I mean I try and do it all - but never get it all done - and I need to cherish my down time a bit more. This is what I learned in 1 week.

Last Tuesday we had a blast! Took this kids for haircuts in the morning, bowling in the afternoon (Kenny joined us to), and headed to Baton Rouge downtown followed by the Casino at night. Really - it was perfect! And yes, I lost 60$ at the Casino, big boo. Oh, and I stunk it up at bowling - but hey, the kids had fun!

Wednesday we left around 11am to St. Claire (45min. outside Quebec City). Who knew there would be stopped traffic in Montreal at 2pm?! That sucked. My kids hate cars. We stopped for coffee/cookies/gas before Montreal, then in Drummondville for dinner at a Boston Pizza. Who knew they had those there?! Although I sooo wanted East Side's ... We didn't see the East Side's until after we left Boston Pizza. Oh fooey. Finally we arrived at the motel in St. Claire (La Difference). And about 11pm we all went to sleep!

Ah Thursday, we all awoke and headed to the motel restaurant for breakfast. Not so yummy - but hey, it was food. Then because of Jakey's little upset tummy the night before, I had to find the nearest Walmart to get him more 'bunnies' ... yes, I know they are bears! 30 min. away there was a yummy Walmart/Subway! I got some bunnies, some yarn, and some subs! Success! And seriously, I've never seen Jakey soooo happy to have clean bunnies! We headed back to the motel to pick up the crew and start the xmas party rounds. First stop Ced's mom's cousins. Then it was off to Ced's mom's sister's. By 9pm the kids were done done done. They got some cute presents and were thrilled! But exhausted.

And finally Friday rolled around. We hung out at the Motel until 11ish then it was off to party #1 at Ced's grandma's. It was in a private room at her retirement home and this room had pool tables and 2 bowling lanes! How cool is that! The retirement home was beautiful to! Totally not expected! The party was a lot of fun, Jakey slept under the table and Hannah played with kids around her age. Only a slight issue of the language barrier but hey, princesses are the same for any language and that's what they did. Jakey woke up and got in the action and had some fun. Both kids got their bowling fix in! Then as soon as that was over we headed to party #2 at Ced's mom's cousin's house. More playing/sitting/eating. Oh man. I felt like a cushion by the end of the day! And about 8pm we headed home to beat the ice storm that was soon hitting. The drive went by super fast - and shocking enough the kids even slept a bit! They never sleep in the car. We got home about 12:30am and we were done. Oh my.

Saturday I had to take Hannah to Toys R Us because of a toy mixup the night before. The roads were super quiet which was great cause I was super tired! Then aside from the grocery store we spent the day in. The Kemp's came over and we all just hung out, ate, then called it a day. Oh my own bed! Super nice!

My favorite day ... this makes the week all worth it ... SUNDAY! Woke up, tidied up, did laundry, picked up Golden Palace food ... headed to Angie & Mo's, watched football!!! Ah, I heart Sundays. Then a quick trip to Hazeldean Mall after and home. Fed the little ones, put them to bed, I followed shortly after. The week soooo caught up with me! But still - the best day of the week by far! Ok, Indy losing sucked - hard core.

11 Years ... Wow!

Oh my!

Sad news - today, after 11 years, we put JD (our black cat) down. He had been sick for a while and it was getting ot the point where I couldn't keep up to his little messes. So it was a trip to the vet today and to the conclusion that JD was best off in peace. ... 215$ later?! Yes - my options were take him back to dispose of (50$), cremations (128$+fees), or paw prints package including cremation (500$). Hmmm ... that just didn't seem right. Anyhow, after 11 years - he is at peace and we are missing him.

So it's been crazy! But did you expect any less? Thursday my great friend Harriet took Hannah for the day (to the museum, mcdonalds, and bayshore) while I took Jakey to the docs, did groceries, liquor store run, and cooked for Ced's family - we did our Christmas dinner that night. It turned out that Jakey has some asthma and it isn't the sickly cough that's going around. After a day with mostly 1 kid (kinda a nice treat) I felt refreshed! Dinner went great, the kids got some pretty cool todays as did I!!! I got this incredible All-In-One Breadmaker! I'm in love ... AND ... a popcorn maker ... AND ... A LULULEMON gift card! I love love love those!
Kids went to bed about 10:30ish pm. Yikes.

And with some moody kids ... Friday begun! I had Jodie and her kids over in the morning while I was watching Sydney. Lots of kids, not a ton of mess, and some hungry mouths :). We all had a great time! I made my first loaf of bread - not so great. Next time it will be better! Then the kids chilled all afternoon while I got to organize/clean! At 7pm we shipped the kids off to Mini Muffins (Jakey's preschool - Hannah used to go there) for a PJ Party/babysitting service. Nothing like taking the kids out at 7pm ... they love it! I'm super sarcastic! Ced and I met Ian/Amanda/my Dad at Giovanni's for a super yummy dinner! God it was great! ... 3 hours later - we go to get the kids and hit traffic on the queensway ... 11pm we finally got the kids ... even worse - Hannah was still awake! Yikes.

On Saturday we stayed in. Yes, in. Taylor came over to play with Hannah (poor Jakey). I got tons done around the house and cooked tons of awesome meals to eat/enjoy! At night, for the first time ever, we used our 14 year old neighbor. I told her that she could play with the kids and never needed to put them to bed unless she felt comfy to do so. At 11:30pm we got home and the kids were in bed and sleeping - awesome! The kids loved her to. Phewf! It was the first time I've used someone that young. We watched the Cowboys beat NO at Ang & Mo's. It was awesome! Romo proved himself and the food/drinks were great :)

Football day! It was perfect! A quick trip to Costco in the morning ... Geeze I love that place! And of course it was home in time to make our picks - seriously - I love Sundays! Kids played, I cooked, knitted, yes knitted, and got the house a bit cleaner. We jetted to East Side's at night for a quick bar-side dinner then home. We were all pooped.

Finally today, errands in the morning and the unfortunate vet appointment in the afternoon. Right now I'm watching the MNF game and the Giant's are just having fun :)

Oh - meant to mention about today - while I was cleaning the garage, both kids came out to join me - all by Jakey's self he got his jacket on, boots on, and hat on! Way to go! However stay in the house next time Mr. Jakey!

super duper busy - even more than usual!

Ok, so I've been so busy that I'm actually exhausted/run down! Now that's just crazy. Seriously, since Monday I haven't stopped.

Monday I cooked, cleaned, boosted/took Ced's car in, walked Hannah to/from school, and got shtuff done!
Tuesday I was at the Superstore by 8am with my 2 little buddies! Then it was off to Jodie's for a playdate with Jack and Lauren. Then off to pick up Ced's car and shuttle home - man these kids put up with a lot! And finally, after some cooking, we headed to Ian and Amanda's for the Hanukah party. The kids were awesome! And they got computers - pretty cool ones.

And today we did errands in the morning, Jakey headed to school for the afternoon, Hannah and I headed to her school part. Then we took Miss Ella with us to go get Jakey, and after a quick trip to Zellers we went to Lonestar with Kayla. Hannah was exhausted from the late bedtime the night before so tonight wasn't her best restaurant behaviour. Luckily Kayla was there to help/smooth out the ice cream issue. Oh my. Then we dropped Ella off and all headed home to bed. Yeah right. The kids went to bed and like the good mom I am/try to be I setup all their new toys so when they wake up in the morning they are in delight! And of course, cleaned the house :)

I took some pics but haven't had time to upload them yet. Soon!

On the plus side:
1. When we need to leave the house now, Jakey goes to the door and puts on his boots/jacket with no help from me! Yahoo!
2. Hannah is starting to grasp the idea of sounding out words to see what they spell. Pretty neat to see/watch/hear!

It's over ... Not yet!

I can't believe the weekend is over! So not fair.

So today I woke up my crew early (they weren't too grateful for that especially after I kept them out last night late at Bayshore). By 7:55pm we were out the door - 2 of us were dressed and 1 still in their pj's. Poor Jakey - he never gets cloths. Hannah, Jakey, and I met Ella and her family (grandparents included) at Castlefrank/Hazeldean and we watched the Olympic Flame go by! At first I was like well, it's just a flame, but as it passed I felt shivers and it was really touching! Here are the photos: Olympic Flame 2009.

Then Harriet, Sophie, Abby, Madison, and Hannah, Jakey and I headed to Local Hero's for some yummy breakfast! It was totally perfect cause Hannah, Abby, and Sophie sat together and played Leapster while talking so cute! And I got some nice adult conversation while Jakey and Maddie colored. I think I had like 5 cups of coffee! Good thing - I was super cold!

I arrived home - woke Ced - and soon enough he was off and took the kids to Bayshore for some treats! Ah, silence, cleaning, relaxing, ended too soon :(.

The rest of the day all 4 of us spent in the house watching football on all tv's. At 6pm the kids finally asked to watch their shows. Not bad. 5 hours of football tv is ok with me!

GG's, Frogs, Pho, Lights, and Popcorn!

Well that pretty much sums up our day!

This morning we went to Ced's parents to see them. The kids had some yummy breakfast ... and ps. they love bacon! Oh man.

Then Hannah and I went to see the Princess and the Frog with Harriet and Ella, Sophie, and Abby. Since the kids all wanted to sit beside Hannah, I got to sit beside Harriet and hang out with an adult the whole time! How nice! Abby and Ella made sure Hannah was well fed and doing great. I on the other hand had 2 hands free, an empty seat beside me, and a lovely diet pepsi/popcorn with some great adult conversation - of course in a really quiet voice :). The movie was great, aside from a couple of scary parts and oh, the character dying?! Oh my. My only other issue was that there were a couple of guns in the movie and one fired at close range. Not so Disney like.

After the movies we lit the 2nd candle on the Hanukia!!! Happy Hanukah!!!
Then Mo, Angie, Mike, Miriam, and their newborn for Pho! Yummy!
So, then I treated myself :) After driving the boys to hockey - I headed to Bayshore and got myself some boots, gloves, hat, and some toys (little ones) for the kids :)
Now it's off to ... knit! Yes knit!

I'm back!

Ok, after a long wait, I'm back at it.

So far September has been busy! Hannah started Preschool, Jakey started Preschool, I got my first par at Thunderbird, and everything has been super fun!

Jakey is starting to say 3 word phrases, Hannah is starting to spell/write, I'm starting to enjoy Caeser's again :)

Here is an album of what's been shaking so far!

September So Far

Enjoy,

and it was lost ... not again!

So, I lost it all - my hard drive failed and is no longer readable. All my photos/videos of the kids since they were born are/were on it. So now I'll start blogging more frequently as it turns out this is my only backup!

So what's shaking? Jakey. He's shaking! He's started putting together 2-3 word phrases and you always know what he wants - usually me :) He also understands the concepts of Yes/No, and This or That, and If X then Y. Very cool! He's trying to swim, chasing after Hannah and whatever she is doing, and loves being treated like a big boy! He'll answer 'me to' when I ask Hannah something and desperately tries to be like her. Also, can count until almost 10, has a great grasp of his colors, and is repeating everything!

What else is shaking? Squirt - a.k.a. Hannah! She is developing a personality like no other! Knows what she wants and 'tries' to find a way to get it :). Is super into trying new things. Food, sports, crafts, she rises to the challenge. Lately she's been learning about emotions - whether something is silly, funny, sad, or boring. It's pretty neat to see. She keeps talking about how she'll become a big big big girl at her birthday and then she'll get to play golf and soccer - I think sooner! She's doing swimming and hockey now - hockey she's starting to get a bit more comfortable, swimming - loves it! Is finally coming out of her shell - very cute to watch! She really made headway when we were away - we should go away more often :) She's starting to learn how to write her own name, what people's full names are, and what their relations are. Pretty neat stuff! Soon we'll teach her our phone number - wow!

So it was a busy month! So we'll start with this past Friday ... (but with the loss of my hard drive I only have pics from yesterday/today).

Friday - swimming class (Hannah), park to meet up with friends, hockey (Hannah), Moxies with Ced & kids, home, golf at Thunderbird with Ced.
Saturday - hung around home in the morning, went to a bbq at KRC, then headed to Angie & Mo's to hang out at their pool, at night Ced headed out with Ken and me watched a whole lot of CSI.
Sunday - took the kids to breakfast/walmart in the am to let Ced sleep, then we all hung out until Kayla came. About 3 pm we headed to Angie and Mo's for some PS3 and then off to Boofs then Moxies, too many drinks!
Monday - we hung out doing crafts in the am with a small visit to the park, then the driving range - although we intended to do mini golf but got lazy, then it was back to Angie and Mo's for pool time and dinner.
Today - swimming lessons, then Jen & Sydney came over, then hockey, then Farm Boy, Tag A Long Toys, DQ, Future Shop, Macs Milk, and home!

Cheers,
Sharon

1. Jakey did incredible at Mini Muffins! No tears! Can you believe that?! The only time he got disgruntled is when they served soup for lunch. Which 2 year olds eat soup?!
2. Hannah was awesome at swimming class! She even did the star and blew lots of bubbles! She also got to go swimming with her camp in the afternoon and was totally ok standing alone with no life jacket. She was a superstar.
3. Jakey was awesome for Ced last night when I left - big kisses and all!

Totally awesome day! But I'm still pooped from it :(

Cheers,

Jakey's 2nd Birthday - Part 1!

This morning we celebrated Jakey's 2nd Birthday!!!
We did it at Ced's parents. Jakey was thrilled! He got presents, cake, and got to blow out candles! He was super happy! Now Hannah ... hmm ... she's adjusting not being the birthday gal. She got presents today to but was having a hard time with Jakey getting them. She's super at sharing/loving, but I guess sometimes it's tough. She understands that for her birthday we are going to Disneyworld, but doesn't realize her birthday is 6 months away. However, I'm sure with all the fun we are going to have this summer she'll losen up on the Disneyworld trip.
Other than that, it was a very quiet Canada Day. We stayed home and cleaned, weeded, organized, played, and relaxed.
Happy Canada Day!

busy as a beeeeee

So, I can't remember all the what's been shaking but from what I remember ...

Today - Hannah had swimming at 9am. She had a great time! Even put her face underwater and blew bubbles. It was a little stressful for me as there were 5 kids in the class and 1 teacher. If a kid didn't listen they had to sit on the side and wait. All the kids were pretty good except one little girl. Hannah did the star, floats, blast offs, bubbles, and head in the water to retrieve a ring. Then it was off to the Dollar store to make loot bags and stuff. In the afternoon Hannah went to the Kinderkaper's Camp from 1-4pm and Jakey napped, I cleaned, relaxed, and had some piece of mind! Then it was off to a rainy Ultimate Game - the kids had a blast! So did I!
Monday (June 29th)
My cleaning lady was back! Yahoo! I missed her madly! A quick trip to Cosco, and dinner at East Side's. The rest of our day was spent cleaning/organizing.

Sunday (June 28th)
We headed to Valleyview Farm for some fun & a picnic! The kids just love it there. In the afternoon Ced and I met Angie and Mo for golf. Men versus Women - we came close :) Kayla took the kids to the pool! How cool is that?! They loved it! After all that we met up at Ox-Head for some yummy dinner! Hannah & Jakey love their spring rolls ... and rice :) (this is the turtle we saw on the golf course)
Saturday (June 27th)
Woke - doc's for Jakey's ears - infected. Drugstore, Belly Laughs, Drugstore, Annika/Alex's Birthday party! It was a drop your kid off. I dropped Hannah off but then Jakey woke up so I took him to have some fun with Alex. All the girls from Hannah's class were there and she had a blast. After it we headed to the Dragon Boat festival at Lac Leamy. Ced's parents were volunteering there. The kids played, bubbles, play structure, on the beach. We were all pooped! Then we came home, Kayla met us there, and we headed to Lapointe with our friends followed by a swim/poker at Angie & Mo's place. Super Fun!

Friday (June 26th)
We met up with Harriet, Ella, Jen, Sydney, and Tracy/Brooke/Cole at the Village Green park. Water, sand, and food - it was perfect! Then it was home for a bit and Josh & Sydney came over for some dinner later.

Thursday (June 25th)
In the morning we headed to the KRP for some fun and a picnic. The water was broken! High of 40C ... that blew. So we headed back to my place for some sprinklers/pools! I enjoyed some nice beverages and the kids played all day. At night, Ali came to babysit while Kayla and I went to the Chicken 'n Rib Fest followed by Starbucks and followed by CHICAGO at the NAC! It was awesome! The entire night was perfect!
Wednesday (June 24th)
Went to see KingFu Panda in the morning. Cranky kids+Movies=Not Good. And so I healed it with some retail shopping! And then me and the kids headed for lunch with Kenny & Paul at Phu Yen! Hannah was super happy - she loves those two! It's really cute! And they treat her super well! Then it was home for a relaxing afternoon with the exception of a trip to the grocery store.

Tuesday (June 23rd)
Today was seriusly crazy!!! We spent the day at Mooney's Bay! The kids loved it! The beach, play structures, picnic, games, ... us and the Kemp gals had a blast!!! We got home around 2ish. After some quiet time, we headed to my first Ultimate game! I took the kids and they had a blast! Played with the other kids and in the fun tent! What a great idea!

Monday (June 22nd)
Hannah had her last skating class! She passed levels ... 1 & 2!!! Can you believe it? I only thought 1 but wow! She was super happy that Spartycat was there. Next up - Hockey Camp in late July. Then it was off to Jen & Sydney's to pick something up and we all headed for lunch at East Sides. Amanda and Mason joined us as well. Kids eat free Monday's are awesome! After lunch we headed home. And for the life of me I can't remember after that.Sunday (June 21st)
Happy Father's Day!
Today we got up and got dressed and headed to Rideauview Golf Club for brunch. My little brother and his fiance were in town. So it was a huge family affair. Yummy food and all the kids were awesome. Jakey fell asleep in his chair. Not sure why?! Then it was off to Ced's parent's for more father's day celebrations! And finally, at the end of the day, we all passed out.

Saturday (June 20th)
We headed to Bayshore in the morning so I could get a bathing suit. I got a gorgeous one! After we headed home and then off to Alex's first birthday party. It was at Dawn and Marty's place. They had a super big backyard and the kids ran for hours. Then we picked up Kayla and she watched the kids while Ced and I went to Angie and Mo's for a pool party! Soooo much fun! A while bottle of wine later I wore my new bikini :)

Friday (June 19th)
We hung out in the morning while I got some stuff done. Then headed to Cisco for a Food Bank Lunch Fundraiser. Hannah and Jakey had a blast! They got to play with Kenny, Mo, and Paul! Their favorite guys. Then it was home to clean up - Julie, Pattie, and Charlie brought Phu Yen over for dinner - yummy!

Thursday (June 18th)
We got up bright and early and helped KCNS clean up. We ended up staying until after lunch. Then we spent the rest of the day relaxing/getting stuff done.

Wednesday (June 17th)
Hung out until the afternoon ... then it was Hannah's school pool party! That was ok. It was pretty tough though with Jakey sleeping in the stroller. The minute he woke I had to grab him and stick him in the pool. He wasn't impressed. But all and all it was fun. Hannah saw the big kids swimming and it was like a light went off in her head and poof - she wants to learn to swim! So I put her in a set of swim lessons and signed her and I up for a beach/snorkel day on the cruise. Jakey had a blast at the after-eat party. He was sitting there like all the other kids eating away! At night, we met Julie, Pattie, and Charlie for dinner at O'Connors. That was pretty cool! We all had a blast ... and some drinks :)
Tuesday (June 16th)
Hung out until lunch ... then for lunch met up with Harriet, Ella, Amanda, Mason, Jen, and Sydney at Hockey Sushi. We went to wish Kayla a happy birthday! I love love love that place! So does Hannah :). After we headed home and Dawn and Alex met us there for a quick visit. Off to some groceries and home it was.

Ok - I'm caught up!
Cheers,
Sharon

from then 'til now

Ok, so this might take a while trying to catch up. Although I think jogging my memory might be the toughest part!

May 28th
We got up and headed to Hannah's last Cooking class and Jakey's Wiggle and Giggle.

Oops! Instead of Jakey going into class we took him shopping! Yihaa! Much more fun, at least for me. This is the day I decided no more sippy cup during the day. I'd offer him a cup with a straw, or various substitutes. I think just morning and night are enough for the good 'ol sippy cup! Then it was off to Jack Astor's with the Kemp women followed by a trip to the Museum of Nature
and then Jen's. It was pouring all day and that was really rough with in/out of the car! However, the kids were champs and totally stepped up to the task! We stayed and ate at Jen's then headed home for nighttime.

May 29th
A very low key day, in the morning we hung out and in the afternoon Hannah went to school. Night time was also very quiet and relaxing! Then ... with Julie's help, I borrowed her babysitter and met Ced out at night at Mo's place. NHL09 baby! It was crazy, her name was Stephanie, after the kids met her for 10 min., they were in love! I left and she put them to bed! Crazy and awesome!

May 30th - I LOVED TODAY!!!
In the morning, Jakey, Hannah, and I headed to get Hannah's dance studio pictures done. Then we headed to meet Josh and Sydney for a walk to Centrum. Promptly, I was home for Stephanie to come again so I could go golfing with Mo, Ken, and Ced at Irish Hills. I golfed a super game! Again, 9-0 skins Ken and I got.
Then it was home to pick up the kids and we all (Mike & Mir to) met us at Hockey Sushi and we ate awesome! Then I put the kids to bed after,
and Kayla came back from her cottage to take over while I headed out to Moxies with friends. What an incredible day!!!

May 31st
We headed with Ced's parents (and a very hung over Ced) to the Heritage Festival
in Cumberland ... up until we got hailed out! The rest of the day went by fast, but it took it's toll!

June 1st
We had skating lessons first thing in the morning.
Nice way to start off cold for the day! Then it was home to relax before Hannah's school. We then picked up Kayla, dropped her off at her appt., dropped Hannah off at school, picked up Kayla, picked up Hannah, went to Jen's, then off to Hannah's rehersal for her first dance recital!!
While Hannah was practicing, Harriet took Jakey and I to Costco! I love that place. With a little drive-thru MacDonalds and some Pho, we headed home and crashed :)

June 2nd
We had gymastics but due to my ankle it was a no go. We instead went grocery shopping and stopped off at Boomerang to drop off some shtuff. Later on in the day we headed to Sydney & Jen's place for a walk to the park followed by dinner at Lonestar with my father, brother, Amanda, Ellard and Mason. Jen & Sydney joined us to.
We weren't even the loudest people in the restaurant
:)

June 3rd
Annika, Hannah's classmate and her little brother and mother came over in the morning for a playdate. It was super fun! It's nice to see Hannah making friends. And Alex is the same age as Jakey and they to go a long and had a blast! Then it was Hannah to school and the rest of the day relaxing.

June 4th
Jen and Sydney met us at Valleyview farm and we had some picnic, animal feeding, and park playing.
It's incredible to see how the kids are no longer scared of animals and feed them properly. After the farm, we did some errands and then headed to Annika's and Alex's for some late day play. Late at night we got a treat! Dad came over with some Golden Palace and the kids stayed up and we all had a blast! It was awesome!

June 5th
Amanda and Mason came over to hang with us in the morning.
It was nice although I missed Ellard! The dropped Hannah off at school and did stuff with Jakey. When I picked up Hannah from school, we headed to see Adam's football game at the Sportsplex - the kids were awesome! Phewf! Then met up with my dad, Amanda, Ian, Ellard, and Mason at Montanas. After a quick visit to Costco! Then bed. Exhausted.

June 6th
Hannah had her recitals today! Kayla and I went to see the first show then my dad, Ced, and his parents went to go see the second show. Hannah was INCREDIBLE!

Video to come!!! Minor glitch in the second performance but it all worked out. I was so proud! Also, Connie's daughter Ali (16 yrs old) babysat Jakey ... he was inlove! I can't believe I did that! A 16 year old ... wow! At night we headed out with Angie, Mo, Paul, Kenny, Amanda, and others to the Rideau Carleton Raceway! It was incredible! I love horse betting! Always bet on the horse with the best Porn Name :)

June 7th
We met Jen & Sydney at Kanata Park in the morning. Jakey hurt his ankle - yikes! But as the day got on, his ankle got better. At 1:30pm, Kayla and Nick arrived and Ced and I headed to the Golf Course! Girls versus guys! Tina, Angie, and I versus Mo, Mike, and Ced ... the guys won on the last hole!!! Then after the ridiculously wet and fun game, we went with Mo & Angie to East Sides - warm soup, great bread, and good pasta! Hannah loves Angie and Mo - I'm not sure when she started loving my friends but she lights up when they are around! I love it!

June 8th
It was a normal skating day when ... Hannah got asked to start Hockey Camp! She's going to be a little hockey player and start in the Start-Rite program at the Bell Sensplex! And ... Jakey is going to try to start skating class next week!!! Finally they want/will let him in :) Who knows how that will go? Then we headed to my mom's for lunch and a little post celebration for Hannah! She got flowers and Jakey got Hot Cars! The kids were thrilled! My dad came to and the kids were in their element. After I dropped Hannah off at school and cleaned frantically for the executive KCNS meeting at my house at night. Picked up Hannah from school (it was the Ray's Reptile visit day) and headed to the grocery store. At 6pm Stephanie came and took the kids to MacDonalds and the park so I could host the meeting in peace. The meeting was somewhat a success, but lasted a bit long and took me forever to clean up! Then put the kids to bed ... ah ...

June 9th
I can't remember!!

June 10th
Ah, the cleaning lady came ... god I love her! She won't be back for 3 weeks - oh god! She's on vacation. We all hung out in the morning then in the afternoon I had duty day at Hannah's school while Jen watched Jakey. It was really neat to see Hannah in class wih her friends. When I used to do duty day she was very whiny/clingy. Now she doesn't even know I am there! She also is starting to be able to write her name which is very cool! I didn't expect that this early. She was polite, listened, and never spoke out of turn. I was impressed. She also told Connie, Judy, and Grazyna the newest thing she learned - last names. She now knows she is Hannah Begin, Jakey is Jakey Begin, and so on. She even knows Jen, Josh, and Sydney are Kemps. I'll teach her more when I find people with easy last names! At night we headed to the Katimavik School Barbque for some munchies, face painting, and cotton candy. It was nice to see Hannah's classmates and teachers in a relaxed setting.

We hung out all day. Nothing grand. A lot outside/inside play. At night Ali came to babysit and we headed to Chuck and Marlo's to meet Vienna. She's a mini-Chuck! No joke. Newport Pizza, Wing, Zucchini Sticks, and some booze. My kind of Thursday night!

With this beautiful weather we played/picniked at Andrew Hayden park with the Kemps.
The kids had a great time. Unfortunately Jakey fell asleep near when we left and he only slept 30 min. Boo. I then quickly went to the Grocery Store and did the lawn and prepared to host my bro and his family and the kemps. One big bbq! Although it never rained, still, we ate inside. Madness and a zoo!!! It was the end of the day and each kid was exhasuted.
And that is that ...

July 15th
Today!!! We started at skating class. This time Jakey got to go. Well, he was ok to stand on his own, march a little bit, but being away from me - HORRIFIC!

Then is was off to Hannah's Preschool Graduation. Not sure why they have graduation when they'll be attending the same school next year but they do. It was pretty neat that Hannah got to graduate with some friends of hers who will be entering JK next year. She loved it and we've watched the slideshow numerous times since this afternoon!

Took Jakey to see the doc about his first severe bug bite (puss, swelling, and blueness). It's all good! Then I got Hannah from Jen's and we all came home and ate. Then bed. Zeeeze.

Cheers!
