Seriously, thank got this hooplah only happens once per year. I actually miss normality! I love having Ced off but I miss my daily shtuff.
It's (the holidays) are going by super fast! I can't keep up. From last Tuesday until now nothing has stopped. I almost feel like a sinking ship!!! I mean I try and do it all - but never get it all done - and I need to cherish my down time a bit more. This is what I learned in 1 week.
Last Tuesday we had a blast! Took this kids for haircuts in the morning, bowling in the afternoon (Kenny joined us to), and headed to Baton Rouge downtown followed by the Casino at night. Really - it was perfect! And yes, I lost 60$ at the Casino, big boo. Oh, and I stunk it up at bowling - but hey, the kids had fun!
Wednesday we left around 11am to St. Claire (45min. outside Quebec City). Who knew there would be stopped traffic in Montreal at 2pm?! That sucked. My kids hate cars. We stopped for coffee/cookies/gas before Montreal, then in Drummondville for dinner at a Boston Pizza. Who knew they had those there?! Although I sooo wanted East Side's ... We didn't see the East Side's until after we left Boston Pizza. Oh fooey. Finally we arrived at the motel in St. Claire (La Difference). And about 11pm we all went to sleep!
Ah Thursday, we all awoke and headed to the motel restaurant for breakfast. Not so yummy - but hey, it was food. Then because of Jakey's little upset tummy the night before, I had to find the nearest Walmart to get him more 'bunnies' ... yes, I know they are bears! 30 min. away there was a yummy Walmart/Subway! I got some bunnies, some yarn, and some subs! Success! And seriously, I've never seen Jakey soooo happy to have clean bunnies! We headed back to the motel to pick up the crew and start the xmas party rounds. First stop Ced's mom's cousins. Then it was off to Ced's mom's sister's. By 9pm the kids were done done done. They got some cute presents and were thrilled! But exhausted.
And finally Friday rolled around. We hung out at the Motel until 11ish then it was off to party #1 at Ced's grandma's. It was in a private room at her retirement home and this room had pool tables and 2 bowling lanes! How cool is that! The retirement home was beautiful to! Totally not expected! The party was a lot of fun, Jakey slept under the table and Hannah played with kids around her age. Only a slight issue of the language barrier but hey, princesses are the same for any language and that's what they did. Jakey woke up and got in the action and had some fun. Both kids got their bowling fix in! Then as soon as that was over we headed to party #2 at Ced's mom's cousin's house. More playing/sitting/eating. Oh man. I felt like a cushion by the end of the day! And about 8pm we headed home to beat the ice storm that was soon hitting. The drive went by super fast - and shocking enough the kids even slept a bit! They never sleep in the car. We got home about 12:30am and we were done. Oh my.
Saturday I had to take Hannah to Toys R Us because of a toy mixup the night before. The roads were super quiet which was great cause I was super tired! Then aside from the grocery store we spent the day in. The Kemp's came over and we all just hung out, ate, then called it a day. Oh my own bed! Super nice!
My favorite day ... this makes the week all worth it ... SUNDAY! Woke up, tidied up, did laundry, picked up Golden Palace food ... headed to Angie & Mo's, watched football!!! Ah, I heart Sundays. Then a quick trip to Hazeldean Mall after and home. Fed the little ones, put them to bed, I followed shortly after. The week soooo caught up with me! But still - the best day of the week by far! Ok, Indy losing sucked - hard core.

11 Years ... Wow!
Oh my!
Sad news - today, after 11 years, we put JD (our black cat) down. He had been sick for a while and it was getting ot the point where I couldn't keep up to his little messes. So it was a trip to the vet today and to the conclusion that JD was best off in peace. ... 215$ later?! Yes - my options were take him back to dispose of (50$), cremations (128$+fees), or paw prints package including cremation (500$). Hmmm ... that just didn't seem right. Anyhow, after 11 years - he is at peace and we are missing him.
So it's been crazy! But did you expect any less? Thursday my great friend Harriet took Hannah for the day (to the museum, mcdonalds, and bayshore) while I took Jakey to the docs, did groceries, liquor store run, and cooked for Ced's family - we did our Christmas dinner that night. It turned out that Jakey has some asthma and it isn't the sickly cough that's going around. After a day with mostly 1 kid (kinda a nice treat) I felt refreshed! Dinner went great, the kids got some pretty cool todays as did I!!! I got this incredible All-In-One Breadmaker! I'm in love ... AND ... a popcorn maker ... AND ... A LULULEMON gift card! I love love love those!
Kids went to bed about 10:30ish pm. Yikes.
And with some moody kids ... Friday begun! I had Jodie and her kids over in the morning while I was watching Sydney. Lots of kids, not a ton of mess, and some hungry mouths :). We all had a great time! I made my first loaf of bread - not so great. Next time it will be better! Then the kids chilled all afternoon while I got to organize/clean! At 7pm we shipped the kids off to Mini Muffins (Jakey's preschool - Hannah used to go there) for a PJ Party/babysitting service. Nothing like taking the kids out at 7pm ... they love it! I'm super sarcastic! Ced and I met Ian/Amanda/my Dad at Giovanni's for a super yummy dinner! God it was great! ... 3 hours later - we go to get the kids and hit traffic on the queensway ... 11pm we finally got the kids ... even worse - Hannah was still awake! Yikes.
On Saturday we stayed in. Yes, in. Taylor came over to play with Hannah (poor Jakey). I got tons done around the house and cooked tons of awesome meals to eat/enjoy! At night, for the first time ever, we used our 14 year old neighbor. I told her that she could play with the kids and never needed to put them to bed unless she felt comfy to do so. At 11:30pm we got home and the kids were in bed and sleeping - awesome! The kids loved her to. Phewf! It was the first time I've used someone that young. We watched the Cowboys beat NO at Ang & Mo's. It was awesome! Romo proved himself and the food/drinks were great :)
Football day! It was perfect! A quick trip to Costco in the morning ... Geeze I love that place! And of course it was home in time to make our picks - seriously - I love Sundays! Kids played, I cooked, knitted, yes knitted, and got the house a bit cleaner. We jetted to East Side's at night for a quick bar-side dinner then home. We were all pooped.
Finally today, errands in the morning and the unfortunate vet appointment in the afternoon. Right now I'm watching the MNF game and the Giant's are just having fun :)
Oh - meant to mention about today - while I was cleaning the garage, both kids came out to join me - all by Jakey's self he got his jacket on, boots on, and hat on! Way to go! However stay in the house next time Mr. Jakey!

super duper busy - even more than usual!
Ok, so I've been so busy that I'm actually exhausted/run down! Now that's just crazy. Seriously, since Monday I haven't stopped.
Monday I cooked, cleaned, boosted/took Ced's car in, walked Hannah to/from school, and got shtuff done!
Tuesday I was at the Superstore by 8am with my 2 little buddies! Then it was off to Jodie's for a playdate with Jack and Lauren. Then off to pick up Ced's car and shuttle home - man these kids put up with a lot! And finally, after some cooking, we headed to Ian and Amanda's for the Hanukah party. The kids were awesome! And they got computers - pretty cool ones.
And today we did errands in the morning, Jakey headed to school for the afternoon, Hannah and I headed to her school part. Then we took Miss Ella with us to go get Jakey, and after a quick trip to Zellers we went to Lonestar with Kayla. Hannah was exhausted from the late bedtime the night before so tonight wasn't her best restaurant behaviour. Luckily Kayla was there to help/smooth out the ice cream issue. Oh my. Then we dropped Ella off and all headed home to bed. Yeah right. The kids went to bed and like the good mom I am/try to be I setup all their new toys so when they wake up in the morning they are in delight! And of course, cleaned the house :)
I took some pics but haven't had time to upload them yet. Soon!
On the plus side:
1. When we need to leave the house now, Jakey goes to the door and puts on his boots/jacket with no help from me! Yahoo!
2. Hannah is starting to grasp the idea of sounding out words to see what they spell. Pretty neat to see/watch/hear!

It's over ... Not yet!
I can't believe the weekend is over! So not fair.
So today I woke up my crew early (they weren't too grateful for that especially after I kept them out last night late at Bayshore). By 7:55pm we were out the door - 2 of us were dressed and 1 still in their pj's. Poor Jakey - he never gets cloths. Hannah, Jakey, and I met Ella and her family (grandparents included) at Castlefrank/Hazeldean and we watched the Olympic Flame go by! At first I was like well, it's just a flame, but as it passed I felt shivers and it was really touching! Here are the photos: Olympic Flame 2009.
Then Harriet, Sophie, Abby, Madison, and Hannah, Jakey and I headed to Local Hero's for some yummy breakfast! It was totally perfect cause Hannah, Abby, and Sophie sat together and played Leapster while talking so cute! And I got some nice adult conversation while Jakey and Maddie colored. I think I had like 5 cups of coffee! Good thing - I was super cold!
I arrived home - woke Ced - and soon enough he was off and took the kids to Bayshore for some treats! Ah, silence, cleaning, relaxing, ended too soon :(.
The rest of the day all 4 of us spent in the house watching football on all tv's. At 6pm the kids finally asked to watch their shows. Not bad. 5 hours of football tv is ok with me!

GG's, Frogs, Pho, Lights, and Popcorn!
Well that pretty much sums up our day!
This morning we went to Ced's parents to see them. The kids had some yummy breakfast ... and ps. they love bacon! Oh man.
Then Hannah and I went to see the Princess and the Frog with Harriet and Ella, Sophie, and Abby. Since the kids all wanted to sit beside Hannah, I got to sit beside Harriet and hang out with an adult the whole time! How nice! Abby and Ella made sure Hannah was well fed and doing great. I on the other hand had 2 hands free, an empty seat beside me, and a lovely diet pepsi/popcorn with some great adult conversation - of course in a really quiet voice :). The movie was great, aside from a couple of scary parts and oh, the character dying?! Oh my. My only other issue was that there were a couple of guns in the movie and one fired at close range. Not so Disney like.
After the movies we lit the 2nd candle on the Hanukia!!! Happy Hanukah!!!
Then Mo, Angie, Mike, Miriam, and their newborn for Pho! Yummy!
So, then I treated myself :) After driving the boys to hockey - I headed to Bayshore and got myself some boots, gloves, hat, and some toys (little ones) for the kids :)
Now it's off to ... knit! Yes knit!
