I'm such a busy bee!

Ok, so I'm a busy person. Even when I read this I get exhausted! The kids are doing awesome, I'm super proud, I love them madly! Jakey (when we hit the docs) looked to be almost 38inches! wowsers! and he's a heavy one. I'm used to Hannah my light child and here is Jakey, heavy, solid, and uses his body weight to push people around. He's speaking a ton now! Some of it actually understandable. He's a total big boy now, but I still think he is the most cudly momma's boy every. Also with the biggest smile :) Hannah is my princess. I have no idea where she gets it from?! And she's just impressing me everyday. She remembers absolutely everything, helps me all the time, and is freakishly smart! Who's child is she? Smirk smirk! She's starting to learn to read. She's sounding out the letters and putting the sounds together. Now that she can write, she can spell, and now almost read it. What a big girl! Almost 4 years old! Where on earth did the time go?

Anyhow, we've been super busy and I have to go pack so here is the brief version of what's been shaking!

Jan. 4th

Back to normality! Although I totally missed having Ced at home. Although I complained a lot when he was home about the mess he made, I missed being able to talk to him! But it was definitely time :). Hannah went back to school as well - she missed it. Although I admit it was a pain once again dressing Jakey in his half-asleep mood and dragging him to and fro.

Jan. 5th

Met Harriet at the gym for some RPM. We were too late and missed the RPM. Coffee at Starbucks with all the kids it was! Much nicer :) After we went and got Jakey some used skates ... He was not happy! Then off to Amanda's to have fun in her new finished basement!!! The kids loved it! They were not happy to go. Poor them! We beat the rush hour home. Drove Ced, Paul, and Mo to the hockey game and then did some late night shopping/ice cream at Costco.

Jan. 6th

Jakey's 1st skating lesson. 70% crying. Arg. My stress level goes up huge when it's only my kid crying on the ice! That totally sucked. He was just scared, over whelmed, and didn't know how to react. The teachers were really great but it was a tough 50min. for him. Hannah is finally getting more sure of herself on her new hockey skates. I should have started her in hockey skates from the beggining! My fault. Then it was off to school for Hannah. Nothing much else exciting.

Jan. 7th

Spent the morning cleaning 'n stuff! Then after I dropped Hannah off at school I met Angie for coffee at Starbucks. So nice! Jakey came and provided the entertainment :). Jakey was in heaven! Then at night I picked up Kayla and we went to go see the Blue Collar Comedy Show at the Scotiabank Place. It was good, ok, but Dane Cook (I hate to admit it) was better.

Jan. 8th

... Sydney G. was dropped off here at 8am, dropped her and Hannah off at Taylor's, dropped Jakey off at Sydney K.', and I went and got some errands/cleaning done! Wow, I'm ditching kids not to have fun, but to clean/errands. How sad is that? Preschool for Hannah then after it was off to Darcy McGee's for dinner with Angie & Mo! I loved it! That restuarant is awesome!

Jan. 9th

What a fun day! Hannah had ballet at 10am. Wow is that early! Then Harriet took Hannah and her girls to the Build-A-Bear store in Bayshore and they built a Hannah Montana Cat for her b-day present! Then she took Hannah for lunch after! Wow! Hannah was SUPER touched!!!! Ced took Jakey to his parents house. I did all the prep for Hannah's birthday party. 3:30pm - 12 princesses and some mom's arrived! 4pm - Tinkerbell & Sleeping Beauty came ... the girls were beside themselves!!! It was madness! Some Hannah Montana cake later everyone was happy :). Hannah was in her element. Jakey to! Then Ken & Danielle came over to watch the big blowout Dallas game. I was so exhausted I could barely speak at this point. Hannah and Jakey opened the presents and Jakey was an all-star and never once got upset that they weren't for him! He really is super cool about Hannah.

Jan. 10th

Our friends Carey, Joey, and their 2 girls came over to play! Haley is a year older than Hannah and Chloe is a year younger than Jakey. It was nice to chat to other mom's/dad's of kids the same age. And our kids played super well together. The rest of the day was full of football/relaxing/cleaning/hanging out just the 4 of us.

Jan. 11th

Once again, my Monday morning clean! Then off to preschool for Hannah, and I took Jakey to McDonalds just the 2 of us and we chatted it up for an hour. It made him so happy! He loves loves loves the attention. Then I had my preschool meeting at night. Oddly enough it was pretty fun. Light chatter, fun discussion, and some laughs.

Jan. 12th

Jodie, Jack, Lauren, and Rebecca, Katie came over to play. All the kids had fun and us adults conversated! So nice, relaxing, and fun. Then Katie stayed over for a bit and played with my little muchkins. Amanda, Ian, Ellard, and Mason came for (Domino's) dinner! Super yummy and the kids were pretty happy. Mason is almost Jakey's size!

Jan. 13th

BETTER! Jakey's skating lesson, he cried when getting his snowpants on, cried in the car on the way, cried getting his skates on, cried in the warm up, and cried getting onto the ice ... THEN ... STOPPED CRYING! He listened, stood up, tried, it was incredible! Although I was too stressed to do anything productive during the class, it was great! I think I'll keep him in skating. With going away next week, the 1 week break in skating might not be so great, but I have hope! After we took Ella, Rebecca, Katie, Jen, Sydney came for lunch before school. Then we picked up Taylor and I dropped the lot off at school. At night we picked up Rebecca, Katie, and Danica, and headed to Lonestar! Yum Yum Yum!

Jan. 14th

Big day! I dropped the both kids off at Harriet's! Oh my - when did Jakey become old enough for me to do that! He was great, Hannah was great, it was just awesome! I was/am SUPER proud. I managed to get to the bank/store/showered/got gas, and had a moment to breathe! Then I picked up the girls and dropped them off at school. Ced worked late so the kids and I just hung out after we finished up some errands at Centrum.

Jan. 15th

This is a busy one!

9am - Stephanie arrives.

9:15am - Jakey and I go to the docs. Ears almost ok. Antibiotics again.

10:00am - Drop Jakey off at home.

10:15am - Drop Ced off at work, hit beer store, grocery store.

11:30am - Pick up Ella. Hit Costco.

2:00pm - Harriet picks up Ella.

3:00pm - Hit Farmboy, Liquor Store.

5:00pm - Go to Swiss Chalet for dinner.

8:00pm - People arrive for poker.

2:00am - Bedtime!
