White is lovely!

With the beautiful weather, we (meaning the kids ...) got to play some golf and Hannah tried to roller skate. She loves it soooo much! 

The weekend was super busy, as usual! Saturday after Hannah's dance class we met up with Grandma & Grandpa who gave Hannah and Jakey new summer wardrobes!!! Brought back from sunny Florida - Thank you! Then it was off to meet Amanda and Ellard at the park for some chase-the-ball time. After we had lunch at their place. Then finally home to get ready to go out for Greek food at night with Angie & Mo. We went to Mystiko's and I had some 'lovely' white wine.

2 games of ball hockey Sunday morning ... OUCH! Then I spent some time ALONE, cleaning, and getting stuff done. After the kids arrived home after spending time with Grand Maman and Grand Papa, the Kemp's came over for play & dinner. Then night night for moi!

Today Hannah had skating in the morning - she is really starting to love it! She can jump and move backwards now, very coooool! Then errands and school for her. At night we won yet another no-counting Volleyball game. Then it was off to the New Edinburgh Pub for pints - ma 'ol stompin ground. Yihaa!

Omigosh things got busy fast! Today I went to Valleyview Farm with Kayla, Amanda, Ellard, and H&J. What a terrific place!!! Jakey especially had a blast. At night I got to hang out with Kelly & Riley - pub hopping in K-town - Oooo lalalala!

Flips and Tricks!

Hannah is really starting to have a blast at skating! I guess she's figured out her balance and there is less falling and more accomplishments. It also helps that all the teachers call her Princess for the enitre hour. So cute! Kayla came over after skating and we picked up Sydney from school and all hung out all afternoon. At night we won yet another Volleyball game! Seems we only lose when it matters :(. Tuesday morning we headed to gymnastics. I swear Jakey LOVES LOVES LOVES it! He is super cute and is the most incredible kid in the class (says his mom). Then it was off to Jen's for a playdate and home the rest of the day to relax.

DQ After Dark

On Tuesday, we headed to Gymnastics bright and early. Only 7 min. late this time! Hannah is really enjoying it and Jakey loves loves loves it! I met some nice moms to. That kind of helps. Then we picked up Sydney and headed home for some 'mess a room, move to the next' kind of day. Wednesday we hung out in our jammies in the morning and then took Hannah to school. As you can see, Jakey loves his jammies (ok, me to!). Then it was off to play with Sydney and Jen. At night, we stayed there for dinner and even walked to DQ after for a late night ice cream treat! Late bedtime ... oh well!

A Skating Pro!

Hannah now grasps the idea of getting up on her own at skating! Yahoo! She also wore her new Sens Jerset. It was really cute on her.

Hoping on Chocolate!

So the day after the Passover dinner, we laid low with Ced home. It was night! Then Ced left around noon for an NHL09 Tournament, yeah, I think it's funny to! During the afternoon, I took the kids to see Hannah Montana - Hannah loved loved loved it!!! And Jakey liked it to! It was really fun, especially to see a decent movie with no cartoons. At night Kayla came to watch the kids while I met Ced and the folks at Angie's for dinner and drinks.
On Sunday we headed to Ced's parents to celebrate Easter! The kids did an easter egg hunt. Hannah had pink eggs and Jakey had blue eggs. Super fun! The kids wanted to do it again and again! After it was all done, Jakey crashed! Too much chocolate!

Yummy all around!

Today was awesome!
Hannah had her first cooking class, she made pizza and easter egg chocolates. Jakey and I had our first wiggle and giggle class ... boy, I am not a fan of having to talk to other moms just cause they are in the same class. Annoying. 'My kid can ...', 'My kid is awesome ...' ... blah blah blah. I hate mommy & me classes! However, Jakey kept running to the door the whole time to see Hannah ... why do I do this?!
For lunch, we went to the Works with Jen & Sydney! Yipee! I love love love that restaurant. And .. Jakey finally drank from a straw, in a cup, not spilling it! No more green yucky sippy cups at resturants.
At night we went to Passover dinner at the Synagogue. It was nice, but dinner wasn't served until after 9pm ... kids no likey :). Hence Jakey's green sippy cup was back! At the end of the night, the kids were super cute and loved playing with each other ... and for a 4 hour dinner at the table they did INCREDIBLE!

So the day after the late night. Amanda, Ellard, Jen, and Sydney came over to play in the morning. What a mad house! Then in the afternoon Hannah went to school while Jakey and I napped ... oooohhhh sooo tired! At night I headed to Bombay Masala for my book club! How cool is that. The book was bad and it was my pick. Frig. The food was awesome! The company was superb!

Go Sens Go!!!

Today we headed to gymnastics bright and early! No speeding warnings this time :). Then we hung out and at night ... WE WENT TO THE SENS GAME!! Ok, so not Ced, just me and the kids! They loved loved loved it! Thanks to Mel & Sang, we got to go with a kick ass parking pass and kick ass seats!! Seriously, I know my dates were/are young but it was tons of fun!

Sparty-Learn-To-Skate ROCKS!

 

Yay! Hannah got up on her own at skating today which means she can get her level 1 ribbon!! That's awesome! She's been in skating for amost 3 months now and I can't believe how much she has improved. It's ccccrazy! She has an awesome instructor - Shelly now - and with a bit of adjustment time yesterday, she was a.o.k.
Poor Jakey just wants to get out there. There was a new little boy in Hannah's class - he turns 2 this month - and by far was the best skater around. WOW! Maybe there is hope for Jakey?!

In the afternoon Hannah went to school while Jakey and Sydney played. Jen had a doctor's appt. and I had a TON to get done so it worked out well for both of us. I got my baking supplies organized, all my laundry folded and put away, kitchen cleaned, dinner made, and Jakey napped a bit. Yay!

I made Calzones from scratch. Dough and all. Yummy but needed more filling.

At night I played Volleyball, a near perfect season only to have last night's playoff game be our worst and we lost. That sucked HUGE! I played not so great and was frustrated by the 'blame game' going on on our team. What jerks.

TGIMonday - seriously.

Today the kids hung out in the morning while I headed to (my worst) ball hockey game. In the afternoon I headed to Amanda's for her baby shower while the kids and Ced headed to his parent's place. After we all met up for dinner at home and a short play in the field and walk to/in the park.

Beautiful Ballerina!

Today we had Hannah's mid-session parent's day at her dance school. It was really cute to watch! She's the youngest/smallest in her class and (in my opinion) has the most beautiful smile! She was qute nervous about all the adults being there. One thing that was weird, she couldn't hop on one foot forward. I had no idea that was a challenge for kids?!
After dance, we headed to Centrum to pick up a gift for Katie's Party and some rain coats. Jakey got the cutest yellow one! So boyish, and Hannah a polka dot one that is 10 sizes too big but hey, she loves it.
In the afternoon Hannah and I headed to Katie's birthday party while the boys napped at home.
At night Ced and I headed out to Philthy McNastys where I tasted all the drinks on the drink menu - and by tasted I mean had :)
