Our Trip!!!
So we went to Florida for 1 week ... although we accomplished 1 year!
Day 1. The Travel.
Luckily we weren't leaving until 2pm in the afternoon so it wasn't an early rise. The 2 flights - Ott-Was/Was-Orl was awesome! The kids were great! But super pooped once we landed in Orlando. Then having to get the rental car, and find the hotel, did the kids in. So I thought we booked a hotel that I had been to before, we showed up there and they didn't have my reservation! I yelled, disputed, then midway through my tantrum realized it was the wrong hotel. I booked the wrong hotel! WOW! So we headed over to the right hotel BUT ... I left my credit card behind - I had to walk back into the hotel I yelled at the people at and demand my card. Again, super embarassing! The hotel (Sheraton Vista Villages) we were in was abosulutely awesome! Seriously, best mistake I've ever done! Hannah had her first 'share-a-room' sleepover that night! Hannah and Kayla shared a room, Jakey slept with Ced & I. ... he tossed and turned and I almost threw him off the bed. Oops!
Day 2. The Magic!
Got up according to the alarm clock ... woke the kids, and headed off quickly to DISNEYWORLD!
A car ride, tram, and then monorail later we were at the Ticket station and we all had tickets in hand!! Then through the doors we went and I RAN WITH HANNAH to make her 9:30am Bobbity Boo appointment. She borrowed Ella's Cinderella dress and she looked beautiful! Kayla and I watched her with our jaw open. She was in her element and loving every moment of it. It touched my heart!!! Then we headed to the castle to watch the show - again, I had tears in my eyes! Hannah was soooooooooo happy! After that we did a couple of meet & greets, rides, and saw some cool stores. Then it was off to the castle for lunch with the princesses! That was one of the best parts of the trip! Hannah got to meet 4 princesses while eating lunch and get her picture taken with Cinderella! After that it was a couple more things at Disney and off to Downtown Disney for dinner. We went to Tex Rex which is like the Rainforest but it's dinosaurs. Tres cool! After some walking around it was already 9:30pm and we headed back to the hotel. Night arrangements for sleeping #2 - Hannah and Kayla still sharing a room, Jakey with me, and Ced on the pull-out couch.
Day 3. 3 Parks.
Up and at 'em at 8am (again, we woke the kids in the morning to get going). Headed off to Disney Hollywood Studios. Jakey and Ellard got to meet Mater and McQueen!!! The smile on their faces were incredible! You would have thought they won the lottery! Everything else in the park was pretty cool to but it was a bit too old for the kids. Although the Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area was awesome! We headed to the Magic Kingdom after lunch. Unfortunatley though ... Hannah was sick at this point with the stomach flu. So she went home for the afternoon to rest. After Jakey, Kayla, and I went to Mickey's Philamore Magic Show and Monster's Inc. Show we headed back to pick up Hannah and Ced and off to Epcot for a walk & dinner. KAYLA AND I RODE SEGWAYS!!! Epcot was amazing at night. Also, Hannah had stopped yacking at this point - phewf! We rented a stroller, brought some towels, and walked around until the place closed. It was a beautiful night! Oh, I had the Fish and Chips that I wanted!
Day 4. Done with Disney.
For the last time we got up and woke the kids up. Headed to the Animal Kingdom. Also very cool! They had an awesome area - the kids went down this slide that I was afraid to go on! Super high up and windy. After lunch we headed to the Magic Kingdom for the last time. Hannah got to meet Princess Tianna and Prince Naveen and then we were gonzo! Bye Bye Disney. ... and at this point ... Ms. Kayla got sick! The stomach flu :( And ... I got stuck going to Medieval Times with Ced and the kids! Oh my. I can't even embelish on it. As soon as we got there - I got sick as well. The stomach flu. We saw Tammy there which was pretty cool although had I not wanted to vomit all over myself I would have been more enthused! It was straight home after the show and I basically told Ced to deal with Hannah and Jakey and spent the night in the toilet. YUCK.
Day 5. In transition.
Feeling awful, we all jumped into the car and headed to Sawgrass Mall. Normally this would be awesome! It's a 5 mile mall with amazing stores - and I was too sick to enjoy it! What a bummer. Only picked up a few things and called it a day. We left about 1 hour after getting there. That bit. Off to Boca we go ... hour #4 in the car! Big boo. But it was nice to arrive at our hotel!! It was pretty cute :). we quickly got ready and it was already time for the night festivities to begin. A beautiful dinner at the Renaissance Hotel! The kids and us had a good time. Super yummy food! And a very deserving bedtime ... oh yeah.
Day 6. La Wedding.
Breakfast all together in the morning with special guest my dad! So nice to see!!! Then a quick shopping trip to my second favorite mall - Town Centre. And finally off to the spa with miss Hannah. Can you believe that at this spa (yes, it is Boca) they normally get 4 year olds?! Oh my lordy! What a crazy world this is! Then it was a frenzy with getting dressed, getting to the synagogue, and finally the wedding starting. Hannah was perfect! I was amazed! Walked down the aisle handing out flower petals and sat on stage the entire time like a princess. Jakey kept repeating - Me dont want to - he wasn't a fan of the tuxedo - too funny! Pictures, ceremony, reception, cocktails, ... kids went home ... dinner, dancing ... bedtime!
Day 7. Buffet!
Ok, our last day :( Went to the buffet at Stephanie's parents club (it was incredible), then off to shop a bit, and finally the buffet at my parents club. This buffet I starve for days to prepare for! It is heavenly! We celebrated Hannah's birthday (again although this was the real day) in Boca style :) Then ... THE COLTS ARE OFF TO THE SUPERBOWL!!! They won! Being in Florida/Boca/Buffet must be good luck cause thsi is where I watched them blow the Patriots away 3 years ago! It was to bed with a sad/happy day.
Da 8. The travel.
5:30am - 3 hour van ride
8:30am - 10 min. shuttle ride
9:00am - 2 min. shuttle ride
noon - 2 hour flight
5pm - 2 hour flight
8pm - 20 min. car ride
BED!
